Oh, stop being obtuse. Every fucking rumor site I've been to adds "alleged", "possibly", "rumored to..", in these headlines. Stating the rumor as a fact in the headline is a bold-faced lie, especially when fact based stories are also published on a regular basis.

Can you honestly not comprehend the concept of labelling a rumor as a rumor, or are you just trolling as usual? As I said, these are no such examples of these practices on this site. Oh wait, you just wanted to post the witty "MacFacts" line, and didn't really give a shit about making your post logical, rational, or honest.

I'm not sure why you think by putting the speakers on a short side makes them best for portrait orientation when, in fact, the speakers would be muffled into your crotch. Who wants to listen to Jennifer Lawrence muffled like that?  /s

There. I changed it and it's still true.

I love how it's never, "we made a wild ass guess and we were wrong." It's always, "Apple and their suppliers are incompetent so it's been pushed back, but we were initially correct."

To blame it on the display is really reaching as it is. It is hard to imagine something unique about the display causing issues. Retina is pretty much a done deal in this size screen.

Anyone noticed how utterly trashy and misleading Macrumors' headlines are, especially those stories published by "Juli Clover"? She literally states every rumor as a FACT, each and every time. I know we're talking about an Apple rumor site, but there should be at least some minimum level of journalistic integrity and honesty. Not sure how they get away this that trash. Don't know if she's just that moronic, or just dishonest just for clicks. Every other author makes an attempt to separate fact from rumor in the headlines.

Come on, Slurpy. Admit it. For a few seconds Juli's headlines gets your heart racing. Juli is playing with your feels. She enjoys making your cold little heart go "Pitti-Pat." You're just throwing rocks at her 'cuz you like her.

Pushed back 6 months because of poor display yields?

    Yeah, very believable....

The only way it is remotely possible is if they are going after something new technology wise. Other wise screens that size are a done deal.

Why is it that everybody assumes this is an Apple Watch focused event?
I doubt Apple ever planned on releasing an iPad pro at an Apple watch centered event. That would take a great deal of stage time to explain the new software being created for it etc. Plus people only have so much disposable income. The Apple watch is an impulse purchase.

People willing to buy the watch or even the IPad Pro will not have an issue with disposable income. Beyond that a slow roll out is better than having production jammed up for four months like it was with the iPhone.

    I'm glad.

Time to have some more truth drummed into the looney left lurking here. ????

    Oh c'mon.

If you're at MacRumours, you assume that every story is a rumour; there's no need to spell it out for the anal.

Firstly, everybody doesn't think that. I do. Because, like the iPhone, Apple announced it 6 months in advance. It's seen a new product category for them, and Tim cook therefore seems to be pushing to get momentum for it. That's why I think that. And as far as people buying the apple watch not having an issue with disposable income, that's not true.

I'm sure it could be a hyped up bad rumor if anything Apple has done this last year with the iPhone 6 and 6 plus but still was produced the two and shipped them out on time regardless of supply and demand issues remind you!!! The same issue occurred with the so called "bigger screen production issues" so I highly doubt this is correct. Therefore I'll continue monitoring the news and rumors including the March 9th Apple watch and MacBook Air event

And I want that split screen feature running two apps at once on my Air 2. But surely we won't get it before the Pro comes out. Drat!

Why can they just not admit that they were wrong, just like the Apple TV screen, they got it wrong. Give it up, don't be ashamed your credibility may even improve.

Probably because it's the 'spring forward' event, you know, time to change the clocks.

It must be exhausting being so angry.

If the site has "rumor" in the name, then I'd assume everything on it that didn't link to a press release was a rumour.  Do any of the other "fucking rumor site(s)" you visit have the word "rumor" (or similar) explicitly in the site title?  No labelling required since the site name is the master label.  I don't see how this is any way illogical, irrational, or dishonest.  It seems exactly the opposite to me.

I didn't think MacFacts was all that witty, I was just illustrating the point, but thanks.

OK, so Apple have the following sized screens made for them:

    tiny ?watch screens

    2.5"

    4.7"

    5.5"

    7.9"

    9.7"

    11"

    13"

    15"

    21.5"

    27"

and have, in the past had:

    3.5"

    4"

    24"

    32"

    and others

So, what's so special with 12.9" screens that they can't get it right? Is it some magic ratio that makes everything go wrong..... or is it analysts trying to justify why they shouldn't be sacked immediately for just masking stuff up?
