OK, so Apple have the following sized screens made for them:
tiny ?watch screens
2.5"
4.7"
5.5"
7.9"
9.7"
11"
13"
15"
21.5"
27"
and have, in the past had:
3.5"
4"
24"
32"
and others
So, what's so special with 12.9" screens that they can't get it right? Is it some magic ratio that makes everything go wrong..... or is it analysts trying to justify why they shouldn't be sacked immediately for just masking stuff up?
I've always wondered why they have the speakers placed for portrait orientation. How many of us watch videos without rotating to landscape? Nobody? Yeah, that's what I thought
Probably all those people who shoot video in portrait mode...

I (like most of us here with a brain) always thought it would be announced in the fall. If there is a screen issue maybe its because of that force touch or whatever they call it from the watch?

Good list but you missed a few…
The 4" display needs to be in the current list.
There are iPod display sizes, with the iPod Nano display sizes changing every year for a while.
Are they still selling the iPhone 4S with a 3.5" display in any market?
How many of these were already being made and how many were made-to-order sizes?
Perhaps more interesting are the display companies, equipment, and in-house R&D Apple invested in order to get high quality displays with modern tech (like IPS) made at low prices.

They're still making 4" screens, thank goodness.

Man, I'd love a 128GB one of these. Wouldn't be able to afford one this year
