    Thoughts?

Accessories, yes. But much more limited. Things like BT headphones or charger stands specifically for Apple Watch.

I'm not sure we've seen the other end of Apple's charging cord. The nifty mag-safe type connector, yes, but I'm assuming the other end is USB. Meaning Apple Watch shows up in iTunes for configuration? It can't be that Apple Watch is solely configurable via iPhone - but we haven't actually been told how this will work.

This whole keynote is redundant if it’s just Apple Watch.

The original iPhone only got one keynote, and look how that fared.

This second keynote looks too much like striving to get the message across, something they patently failed to achieve first time round.

What I'd like to see is a humble apology from Tim Cook and Jony Ive in person for the shittiness of iOS 8 and all its bugs, quickly followed by a promise to never release such a disastrous mess of an OS ever again.

Also, a combined music-streaming/download service for iTunes and a large iPad.

    Good note.

Otherwise, all that style is going to be technologically out of date in a year or two. Even for the very rich, that may be a bit much.

Of more interest is the possible release of a long-delayed update to the Apple TV. That I could afford, and that I might buy.

Those that can afford an iPhone at something north of a thousand dollars a year (service plan plus the iPhone's purchase price) can probably spring for a watch that comes in at a fraction of that with NO contract were the functions to appeal. And remember, as an iPhone accessory the only people that this is marketed at have already judged they can afford that thousand plus cost And everything technological goes "out of date" in under a year when you're lucky: good thing "out of date" is a fashion statement rather than a statement of functionality eh? Either that or an argument never to purchase anything made out of more than bronze and stone....

Three years old iPhones work just fine, I expect the same with the watch.

The only thing we know is the Watch will be talked about. Likely the release date, some examples of 3rd party apps, pricing. Battery life will probably be mentioned with the same vague "up to" that is classic for all tech.

Since there is a likelihood that the Watch could be used as a remote for the Apple TV there might be a mention there. Whether they bring up the whole HBO Now or have any other new apps, hardware etc to talk about who knows.

There is no proof that there is a Retina Air or iPad Pro outside of the butt mumbling of folks like Kuo. And even if Apple is looking to Pro up the iPads it might not be a separate model but rather tech they are looking at for the new iPads for the fall and thus we won't know about them for a while.

I would love to see Apple release the etch on 4/10 to kill any possible press that Samsung hopes to get for the Galaxy 6 plus, I mean Galaxy s6.

I think the rumors that Apple is working hard to get a deal with HBO done could be a hint that a new Apple TV is ready

Samsung had a "plus" before apple they called it the note.

So far there is nothing to suggest a reason for wearing it at night so take it off when you go to bed, put it on all charged up in the morning.

Or he won't because it's not really newsworthy or all that interesting to the mass public. Typically with live streams they focus on the stuff that appeals to the greater audience. And the truth is that there might not be a massive change to the stores. Cut back a table of demo iPads/computers and set up staff that live in that spot to make sure no one tries to steel a demo (which will likely be anchored to the tables like all other products and are actually removed at night to avoid smash and grabs and to charge them

and discuss when 8.3 will drop.

Highly unlikely. If 8.2 is the iOS update to activate Apple Watch then they will mention it, but they never mention future versions. All part of that under promise, over deliver. After all, if they don't announce a day they can't have issues with 'delays'

They did say "starting at $349." I would not be surprised if, having given this a full 6 months consideration, they announce a slightly lower price.

Unlikely to see a lower price. If they were't certain of that price they never would have mentioned it in the first keynote. And Apple has always been 'over priced'. The only real question is if that is case only or case and band and which band. I think a lot of folks are assuming that it's just the case and just the 38mm at that. They are expecting the 42mm to have a good $30-50 markup and then to deal with bands.

    That's a thought, sure.

It is curious...based on the "tip" that the ATP crew got (about the connector to the rumored 12" Retina MBA)  Perhaps this connector is USB type-C...man, that would piss people off.  But then if they did intro the MBA+r also, it would make sense to into this connector on both devices in one event.

TechCrunch reports the time to fully charge Apple Watch is 2 hours. I find this a bit hard to believe, but they are citing some beta testers. Its a teeny battery. How can it take longer than the comparatively massive batteries in the iPhone and iPad? It is unlikely to be discussed much at the Monday event.

    What a faf.

We have desktops, laptops, iPads and iPhones.

I predict that a watch is a computer too far.

I read somewhere that you don't plug it in and it's charged "wirelessly". Perhaps that's the difference.

Well...my MBA has a magsafe connector too. I think that is a similar connection. You might be right.

I guess you don't use an iPhone 6+. That phone is a beast as far as battery life goes.

I feel the watch may really become a niche device for sure. It's like the Apple Newton: a great good/idea not ready due to a limit in technological advances (battery). Battery life is unacceptable for a lot of people. Unless it provides wireless charging and you can put it on a mat and let it charge, giving the illusion that it doesn't need charging.
