Actually, my computer is a WallStreet Powerbook, 233 MHz Rev. B. If you're confused, I have mentioned my brother's Bondi iMac before, but I don't have one.
If I did have a Bondi iMac, I'd probably buy a G3 + FireWire upgrade card for it, upgrade the HD, and get a new computer later. But I think it'd be more economical in the long run to just get a new or slightly used computer around the end of summer. I'm looking for compatability as well as speed, and a PowerBook with SCSI, ADB and Serial just doesn't cut it. Also, since I have a PowerBook, hard drives are more expensive, whether they're internal or external. Internally, I have to get a 2.5" laptop drive, and externally, I'd have to daisy-chain another SCSI drive. Those are expensive.
I'm really low on space right now but it'll get a bit better once I switch to OS X because I'll be able to ditch a bunch of OS 9 apps. My brother was able to install X on his 4 GB drive with enough room for plenty of other stuff, so I think I'll be okay. I have about 4 GB of space once you count out my MP3s.
Well, since this whole little discussion has been so off topic, this'll be my last post unless I start a new thread about it. But while I'm posting I'd like to report that I've successfully installed OS X on my PB's internal 2 GB drive, leaving about 600 MB free on it and I also have my external 4.26 GB drive for my files and OS 9. It's running very smoothly and quickly, in fact faster than on my brother's Bondi iMac. I really like it!
