Top Stories evident in News - didn't even realise there wasn't one
The Apple Music download indicator is a neat touch to show what's actually on your phone - indeed it's a little iPhone with a tick in it - if you have downloaded.
Nope, opens instantly there too. This is on an iPad Pro. I haven't updated anything else yet. I will shortly.
Just upgraded my 6+. From the lock screen, the Photo's app takes maybe 1 second to open. The first time you do it after the upgrade, it takes 2 to 3 seconds. But after that, no more than 1 second.
From the app itself, it's almost instant.
This new feature cuts out a lot of lag in transferring photos from the camera to the iPhone.
I still need to download it, but isn't there already a phone icon on songs that are locally stored on your phone? Why do we need another icon to denote a downloaded song?
I'm not feeling good vibes about quality control at Apple.
Edit: why can't we edit older posts? Why'd my last one get posted twice?
This first screenshot shows a song in the album cover view (the only way to manually fine tune volume). See the the spacing between the volume slider and the Play/Pause + FF/Reverse buttons? That's a functional amount of space which respects the size of a human fingertip:
Now look at this view from the lock screen. The gap between volume slider and other button targets is insanely small and 9 times out of 10 results in a skipped song or other unintended action while attempting to fine tune the volume. It's just plain stupid and an amateur-level UI design mistake. Make the album smaller and the give the volume slider target the correct amount of space! The album cover is not a functional part of the UI, folks!:
When searching for an app that's tucked away in a folder, 9 times out of 10 I use the search, if 3D Touch doesn't work in the search function then it becomes useless for those apps. Unless of course I want to search manually for them, but the time it takes to do that negates the whole idea of a "quick select" that the 3D Touch enables.
Post back and let us know if it worked for you.
