tallest... is absolutely by a mile the most radical commenter on this site. He goes for the throat each etime, and has not limits on how fowl his insults are, it is as if he thinks nobody is reading this. I have given up on trying to use history as a way to show what paths we repeat as humans because conspiracy foil hat wearers will deny everything written in a book, and brush off any living person's actual witness or experience of events. There are many uncivil people here who can only shout insults at others, it is exhausting and I will stop leaving comments and I suggest the rest of us just let them have this sandbox to poop in.
I suspect that he suffers from some sort of Jekel & Hyde personality disorder. Based on reading his posts for many years I would be surprised if he was not perfectly civil and cordial in person. Growing up and living in Indiana farm country I"d expect him to be quite normal, however when he gets on the internet behind the shield of anominity that is where the dark side comes out. Sure I understand the anger of typical Trump supporters from rural areas, I just don't experience it in my city on the west coast where I'm perfectly content with my high tech job, above average income, family, friends and an excellent thriving community. And I might mention that although I am a life long Democrat, my little subburb of LA is overwhelmingly Republican, but thankfully they are all highly educated people so nothing to be concerned with.

Nope, I’m just as honest in person. You have the sum total of freely available human knowledge at your fingertips, so I find there’s rarely an excuse to be wrong in a discussion.

No riots there, I see.  :D

Let me take a wild guess that had Hillary Clinton won Tim Cook wouldn't have wrote this letter. I didn't vote for Donald Trump but the country has survived much worse than him. On the other hand if California ever decided to secede I'm not sure the rest of the country would really care. California really is nothing like the rest of the country. If Democrats are to take power again it's not going to come from San Francisco.
If California were a country, it would be the 8th largest economy in the world. I think we would notice and care.

It's within California's ability as a state to secede and IMO, they should. The result of doing something like that would be to make the Democrats a permanent loser at the ballots. Great! Socialist and progressive policies have deeply damaged the US.

Since they are the 8th largest economy, I would say that progressive views have not damaged them at all.
