LeEco had their UMAX85, an 85" UHD Dolby Vision Android/Google Cast TV for only $4K!   Looks like a steal, but unfortunately there still no professional reviews of this unit.

Here's a pro review of one of the smaller versions they announced. Seems like a good value.

I truly believe Apple is slow in the tech world.  But they are methodic.  They have a very good strategy to make great products and make huge sums of money.  For me at least they do lag behind in excitement factor.  It has been a while since I was giddy waiting for an announcement from them.  But that can be ok as they are focused on doing things right the first time and also addressing global issues along the way.  Not overly exciting most of the time but a very well run business.

Haha! I hadn't heard about this douchebag before.

Comparing Apple to Nazis? What is he a liberal or something? :#

Anyway, I am glad that their stock is crashing and had to be halted.

Hopefully, it will be reopened soon, so that it can continue to dive.
Really, you had to throw in the dig at "liberals"?  Who do you think runs Apple, neo-cons?

The arrogance and the belligerence coming out of that country, in particular it's state and its entrepreneurs, is frankly pathetic. Reeks of an inferiority complex. If they don't watch it, they're soon going to be eating some major national crow.
Don't forget the USA is famous for major financial crashes brought on by unbridled capitalist greed. Is 2008 too far away for you to remember? It is unfortunate for China that is thinks the US model is the only way capitalism can work. Since our next President is no stranger to bankruptcy (is it 10 or 11 times) our future might soon copy China's soon.

The Cult of Trump will only see disappointment after a few pretend victories. Meanwhile Trump will break the law regarding conflict of interest by bringing one or more of his kids who run his business to meeting with foreign leaders to work out deals that benefit Donald Trump Inc. Congress including Republicans dare not challenge the biggest bully in politics or he will get his lynch mobs after them and end their careers is they dare say boo. As a long time New Yorker I and just about everyone that lives here will tell you he has a terrible reputation for lying, bragging, cheating and has no involvement in charity (something every rich New Yorker does). His demeanor is unfit of the office and he will bring this country to its knees and make us vulnerable to our enemies. If I believed in a higher entity I would say "god help us all".

Do you have to spout your misguided political trash in EVERY thread? Nobody cares what you think of liberals. What a tiresome troll, just like sog. You two should ride off into the sunset.
I'm no troll, and even though I don't agree with SOG on some issues, I wouldn't say that he is either.

We are voices of dissent and we sometimes offer a contrarian viewpoint on certain issues.

Apple is all about diversity, is it not?

Does that not apply to a diversity of opinions also, or would you prefer to live in a dictatorship, where people like SOG and myself would be thrown in a cold jail cell, for refusing to follow the groupthink, liberal herd mentality, where only accepted opinions are allowed? You don't have to answer that last question. :#
For once, and while I'll disagree with pretty much everything else, I agree with you.
I'd rather keep disagreeing with you guys than see you moderated away ;)

Referencing his picture: take the knot in your hand, pull it around behind you, put it over the nearest doorknob, sit on floor. One less douchebag.
Wishing death on people for being douchebags in your opinion? Not cool.

Anyway, I think Chinese banks and capital-riskers (and their big burly friends with very cold eyes) might have a 'conversation' with Mister Billionaire.

"triggered a margin call for Jia, calling for immediate repayment of loans borrowed against the stock as collateral. "

Interesting that the company borrowed and had to use stock as collateral. Also interesting that the loan has provisions for the dropping price of the stock, forcing repayment. You'd think it'd just require more collateral. I suppose something was lost in translation.

    You're pretty funny.
I am glad you find us (Liberals) funny
The OP ( @bells ) says that applying labels to people is a sign of low intelligence:
"Labeling something as  liberal is intellicually (sic) lazy. It's akin to name calling. Further, the whole techinique is designed just to descredit somebody without having to even listen to a person. Perhaps you are so intellucutually inferior that you have to resort to labels because you can't express ideas without doing so?"

Then you paste a label on yourself. I would assume then you don't agree with @bells either even tho you jumped in to support his/her opinion? Just noting the apparent disconnect.

Personally I don't care what someone wants to label themselves as, or if they even do. Tags are useful on the grocery shelf, not so much in human interactions. Motion matter more than thoughts and we have too little movement on the things that purportedly are so concerning to us. Get up and move more folks if it's really so important to you that something changes!

Your point is well taken. I am proud to call a 'liberal' thinker as opposed to an illiberal person. Sure apple[ ] wanted to ding me for expressing that bias. I welcome it. It doesn't have the negative connotations in my mind, that others place on the term. My thought process and the positions I take on any topic are informed by my ability to understand the issue, problem or someone's point of view. My 'liberal' bias serve as a tool to better understand the 'other' point of view. That helps me to be tolerant, reminds me I don't have a corner on the truth and inspires me to bring forth evidence and reasoning to refute closed minded opinions. That works for me.

I know that in many ways in many aspects of my thinking and living are rightly described as moderate and conservative. True with all people.

Labeling me as something or the other doesn't effect me.

You are entitled to an opinion but when you throw some BS around and put down other people will call you out. I never heard of a prison build by liberals to put dissenters, can you name one?

The smaller versions are not comparable to the 85 inch which is FALD, the others are edge-lit (not as good).   Still looking for a pro review of the 85 inch.
