Reply 7 of 54 shawnpatrickjoyce Posts: 2,417member March 18, 2003 8:54PM I echo the sentiment for Christopher Bangle to be shot. I can't imagine what he's going to do with the X-series sport utility vehicles, arguably the last remaining good designs of the pre-Bangle era. My brother will be going to art school for automotive design. He hates Bangle with a passion. It's a bit more aggressive even picking up hints of the Z4 roadster (the side door panel). Not sure about the headlights though...starting to look kind of rice rockets instead of the classic standard look.Personally, I'd still take the A4 design. More modern, understated, but still sporty. But they do need to remove those ugly grey panels along the lower side sills and bumpers.Rumour has it the will do that for the '04 release. It's, in my opinion, the best looking SUV out there right now.Someone please keep Bangle away from it. I agree, Since decades BMW made very good looking classical cars. Bangle make ugly futurist cars. For the sake of BMW, if i was the boss i would fire him.For the design of luxuary germans cars here is my list in this segment: 1) mercedes class E2) Audi A 63) BMW 5 Reply 14 of 54 eugene Posts: 8,254member March 19, 2003 1:03AM Quote:Originally posted by alcimedes http://www.alcimedes.com/rx8.jp I'm not driving any car that looks like an 'azn' smiley. Yum! 8) Yeah, I dig it too but I still liked the RX-7 better. Reply 18 of 54 matsu Posts: 6,558member March 19, 2003 9:53AM The rx7 had a great exterior and a disaster of an interior, just too cramped, but it did look great on the outside. What it needed was a nice modern small block v8 nestled inbetween the front haunches. Reply 19 of 54 alcimedes Posts: 5,486member March 19, 2003 10:11AM he he, the rx-7 isn't one for comfort, not doubt there. a friend has one and we work on it all the time. it's fun to tinker with. our next step is going to be replacing the rotors. not sure how that's going to work.i'll be interested to sit in an rx-8 though. i like the idea of new engine designs/concepts, epsecially in such a nice package. Of course, if you're taller than that, I can see where it could have been a problem. I'll pass on the comment about the v8 as you're probably baiting me. 8) «123» Sign In or Register to comment.
