NETROmac, I suppose if it's joystick/dial in one, then it'll work. But you can't have a dial that controls up/down and left/right as the text on the patent is indicating.

Don't presume he/she is in some small regional back office. Apple Ireland have a very large facility in Cork comprising Power Mac assembly and customer support- administration for Europe. They will be prepared for major announcements like US sites. There is a whole other world east of Boston you know.
