5. Lighter - Not really light but has a handle now, but if what they say true and no more handles then make it lighter so IT monkey like me would have easier life moving them around.
6. Hot-Swappable Drive Bays - Xserve has that and Pro model should have that, Dell have in on their High-end machines.

7. Build a internal RAID 0 and 1 - checked
Is that such a Harsh Reality.
No, I think it was an appropriate reality check for those worried about only the looks of a box that sits under their desk. I love the current G4 case and I have a hard time thinking of anything better, but if a new box has your specs I can live with retro IBM look .... as long as it is shiney and the Apple logo glows BLUE!

Sorry, I thought you were telling me to get a check on reality.
I agree, who care what the box look like, most people in the office do stick it under the desk anyway.
Apple should do a focus study on us IT monkeys to see how Apple can make our lives easier.
Have you ever tried to pack up and move 50 Macs and 20 inch Monitor from two different building in Manhattan!?!?! or Try to upgrade the Memory on 100 Macs? or install a second HD on a 25 Mac?

I have to agree with Mr. Freely!
I don't care if the box looks like cow dung as long as it is easy to get into I will buy the freaking thing.
Phew was barely able to catch the pic from the thread at I think it was... Thinksecret. I sorta like it. But hey, I guess we will see the truth on Monday. Wait I will see it Friday, cuz I will be on a missions trip to Chicago. On that note, I had better get to bed soon, but this is keeping me up! Darn Apple!

Good reality check...
Reality check?
1. Easy to open - checked
2. Add PCI card - checked
3. Add RAM - Was easy but Trickier on newer G4
4. Quiet - was noisy but done
5. Lighter - Not really light but has a handle now, but if what they say true and no more handles then make it lighter so IT monkey like me would have easier life moving them around.

Why not just add a pair of wheels and have an extendible handle like a small travel suitcase?
