What I'd love to see is more episodes of Dr. Who. I heard that it went to 8 seasons in the UK. I think we only imported 5 seasons to the US, I think I've seen maybe 3 or 4 seasons.

    * seasons..Really ?

I am not fully up to date with it, but I thoughht Dr who started in early 1960's and was still running in the 1980-90's..so I think your estimate might be under the total..

No doubt someone will post the facts...

    as for seeing them...DVD ?

DVD, maybe, but I haven't seen them here. Dr Who only had a cult following in the US and probably an even smaller following in N. Carolina.

fierfly and farscape for sure. most of the others mentioned had their time and ran their course, but these 2 got axed way too soon in my opinion. i never could get into sg-1, though it doesn't suck by any means, just not all that great. and besides it's still in production anyways, so who give a toss. i could throw lexx in there for no other reason than the chick is absolutely fvcking hot. hell yeah i'd sit through a few more seasons to see her scantly clad ass. yummy. unfortunatley, the fact that andromeda, mutant x and the like are still on the air just pisses me off. these shows are half assed at best and only seek to engage the lowest comon denominator of viewers.

I'd pick Red Dwarf. It seems to be one of the most clever concepts for a show. The last human, a Humanoid-Cat, a demented android, and an ego maniac, all inhabiting a ship controlled by a senile computer. What more could you ask for?

Acctually I think all the seasons have aired on PBS back in the 80's and early 90's with the exception of the last few Sylvester McCoy episodes. It wasn't the actor's fault but things were falling apart pretty much by then. They couldn't seem to find a new direction for Dr. Who. I believe part of that is how do you top Tom Baker?

Given Dr Who's youth age regression, he should be played by someone about mid twenties. Cyber-Goth

Battlestar Galactica. The re-visiting on SciFi this Dec. could be HUGE. Or just another passing moment - like the Dr. WHo movie on Fox.

Now, is this a made for TV movie or a mini-series? I heard that the guy who played Starbuck wanted to get a full-length feature made.

Yeah, I remember watching "land of the Giants" every summer in reruns as a kid. Didn't that guy have nearly a dozen or so series?

Yes. I am not absolutely sure, but I think he also had a hand in " Voyage to the bottom of the sea "

Don't know of any other TV series of his.

He was also responsible for the special effects in the 70's movies " Towering Inferno ", " Earthquake " and other lesser knowns..

But my all time favourite was " The Poseidon adventure "

It made Titanic look like a Blockbuster....

OMG, I have not had enough coffee for this yet (2.5 hrs of sleep within 48 hrs, 14 more to go.)

Perhaps a mini-series based on his Virtual Light Trilogy... With today's sp. effects the Netrunning stuff would be possible. Plus the story of an emerging AI is compelling, the tech is near future believable and fairly realistic characters with a little romantic tension.

If you haven't read the trilogy the order is "Virtual Light" "Idoru" and "All Tomorrow's Parties"
