Okay, aside from Teen-Wolf, my current favorite movie is 28 Days Later. It's a highly watchable movie.

The first two LOTR movies are great and I'm assuming the third will be the best.

And a couple of classics I can watch over and over; Bull Durham and The Breakfast Club.

    Just a few:

    Arlington Road

    Fight Club

    Shutter Island

    Matrix 1

    Contact

    Aliens

    5th Element ("mooltipass")

Sunshine (2007) <-- Somewhat flawed but absolutely awe-inspiring

Danny Boyle once mentioned some of the best sci-fi movies have one distinct formula: "A signal, a ship, a crew".

Because until two weeks ago, the thread hadn't been posted to since 2003 !!!

But since it's back... I'm gonna add "Operation Petticoat" (barely edged out "Father Goose" to top my list.)

Just saw Hackers (1995). Haven't seen it for a while, but it was really somewhat bold for its time. Of course the way the technology is depicted is quite ridiculous but what threw me the most is how they handled those 3.5" floppies. Stuffing it in air vents, putting gum on it and sticking it behind a condom vending machine, and even "hiding" it in the trash. I used to treat my 3.5" like babies and it would still CRC error like mad. And I'm talking top-of-the-line Maxell made-in-Japan stuff.

You all need to watch more movies

    In no order, incomplete list

Taxi Driver (I mean come on Boyle, De Niro, Foster, Keitel, Shepherd ...)

    On the Waterfront

    Giant

    Blade Runner

    Citizen Kane

    Dr. Strangelove

    The Godfather I and II

    The Graduate

    Groundhog Day

    The Shawshank Redemption

    Out of Africa

Rabbit Proof Fence (far better than the action schlock above)

    Raging Bull

    ...

    too many to list

I can't believe no one has mentioned one of my favorite movies. "Little Big Man". The whole premise of the movie is hilarious. He's telling the story of his life and he's so old , that no one else is alive that can dispute ANYTHING he says. He was everywhere and he did everything.

Complete garbage to see this. A good movie with intelligence to watch was Exodus which you can learn from.
