Your reply is totally inaccurate. The machine has firewire, excellent speakers, USB 2.0...and in case you haven't noticed: the current 15 PB has no bluetooth, no illuminated keyboard, no aluminum chasis, no USB 2.0 etc. The list goes on. So how about you "wake up" and get real. Don't give me a hard time for speaking the truth. I am not defending this Voodoo laptop, I was just remarking that I thought it was cool. I also think that it smokes the current PB and that I am frustrating waithing fo the new one. That's all.

but first of all: it's a windows laptop so it doesn't mather what nice features it has it's not a mac, so it's no option for 99% of us.
and second: it isn't cool, it's ugly (and so is their website)
My apologies, I should have done a little more research. Now that I realise the laptop has many more features than I initially thought, I have revised my opinion. For a PC laptop it is pretty good.
Which is to say it sucks donkey balls by comparison to the PB G4.
I appreciate that the current PB 15 inch does not have many of the cool features of the 17 inch model. But if you are stating that this laptop would be a good way to use the savings you have been gathering while you wait for a 15 incher with said features, I'm afraid I just can't see it myself. If you have an excess of cash then that's what beer and women are for.
Kickaha and Amorph couldn't moderate themselves out of a paper bag. Abdicate responsibility and succumb to idiocy. Doubtful if they come out tomorrow!I talked to a friend at CompUSA who works for Apple and he said there is nothing certain but all Apple Consultants he knows said they have not had any releases as of today.However they spring releases out on them without notice also.I understand everyones uncertainty with this new updated version.I have been awaiting there new arrivals also.If the rumors are true however just maybe we will see the 12 and 15 upgraded to the same specs as the 17!My friend did say that the new G5 processor would still be to hot to place into a notebook at this time.I'm no expert and I am new here so hello to all and hope what little I knew helped but I think everyone is already ahead of me in the news.

I don't understand what's holding up Apple's PBs. They already missed the back-to-school season, by the time it does come out, I not sure how well it will hold up against the Wintel laptops (on factors such a GPU, CPU, price, etc.). Less then 1.5 working days, just release the PBs!!!

Thats because they will never ever update EVER again!!!!! Thats right, Jobs is putting and end to the speculation about whether to buy now or later. In addition, no more buyers remorse about the new model coming out a week after my purchase for 200 less. So we will just have to get used to us all having the same one gig machine till the end of time.....Uh can I get mine in silver?
, i know i got sick of waiting and just ordered mine today, and it is due to arrive like september 12th or so, so even if they do update i bet there will be a nice long wait to actually get your hands on one!!
And while you are all waiting for you PB i will be playing and surfing with mine! i am only going for the 12inch anyway, so there won't be many updates to that anyway! So its all good!
