Went to the local CompUSA- the mac guy said,

"their truck didn't come in today, but they'll have a demo unit tomorrow"

So does your local mac dealer have a G5 or not?

Apple shipped them to stores on Sunday, and they should arrive in most stores mid-week.

The Houston Galleria Apple store had none yet as of this afternoon.

I doubt the Comp USA across the street has any yet either. That store is staffed by an Apple person.

I am guessing and hoping by Wednesday.

So who voted Yes An Apple Store and then didn't post where? I phoned both Palo Alto and Santa Clara CA Apple Stores both near Cupertino and both deny they have any nor know when they will have them.

I'm assuming if the SoHo Manhattan Store doesn't have one no Apple Store does.

The guy at B.Mac said they'd be in by a week or two. Cannot wait.

8:35 PM PDT Palo Alto California Store says they expect to have demo units in the store by the end of the week. Santa Clara California Store says they have no clue when they will get theirs.

It's a chain of Mac (and art supply) stores in Montreal and Ottawa. Since there are no Apple Stores up here in Canada, this store is the next best thing in these two cities.

Apple Store at Town Center in Boca Raton Fl. has all the display and banner material up, but no G5. They expect them later today or tomorrow.

I called the willow bend Apple store in my area and they said "No we don't have them now we expect them anytime now"

That was the word from my neck of the woods.

I was sort of surprised that they don't even have them at The Company Store (at 1 Infinite Loop).

According to the Apple Store in Oakbrook, Illinois, they expect some demo units tomorrow, Thursday. No idea of time but was fairly confident.

No, my local "mac" dealer, rather dark-side-ish if you wan't my advice, won't probably get it until we're at the second, or third generation of G5s. I wish that we had a B.Mac store in Québec city.
