The only problem with that one is that the screen would get SO dirty. I know I wouldn't want something like that.
Yeah, that's probably true. It's really interesting to watch all these mock ups.
I'll be sort of dissapointed now if the miniPods are just 'regular' iPods with smaller HD capacities. After all, I think if Apple is trying to come out with a cheaper iPod, wouldn't developing a smaller case complicate things out, and therefore make it expensive? Mini stuff is always pricey.
MiniPod may just refer to mini-price and mini-capacity. Then again, Apple has wowed us so many times before. So I hope I'm wrong about this.
Someone posted these on Thinksecret (didn't exactly say whether they were fake or not) but think it's really cool.
Rhumgod, that wouldn't work as soon as you had a playlist that was more than two screens long. And even then, how would you select an item on the screen? You still really need up, down, back (select) and forwards (menu).
Wouldn't mind having a dollar for every time someone said something like that and it turned out to be real.
if you have to pay a dollar every time someone said something like that and it turned out to be fake and you have got 100 if it turned out to be real you would have been bankrupt a year ago.
If the remote had a screen, this would be pretty cool.
That's unusable!
I have something in mind, though not specific, that will revolutionise the iPodlet market, not something that is simply a chopped up and glued together miniature version of what is current.
Hell, it may be possible to see iPod take on a new shape, (though I doubt it), in addition to the release of the iPodlet. That would be cool.
But then again, cheaper prices for the current models would be cooler. m.
Remembering to hit the eject key on the dock is no different than remembering to hit it in iTunes or the Finder.
no, a physical eject key on the iPod Dock... This way if you don't have the check "ok" to remove your iPod you can press a little button that would unmount it for you (unless it was in the middle of transferring something...

Yes that is what I meant, I probably should have explained better. That way I could just hit it when I reach for my iPod, and wait a second or two. Honestly it is a hassle to click iTunes (since I probably won't have it as my front most app) then click on the iPod playlist, then click the eject button. Not only do I have to move my mouse around a lot its 3 seconds I could have spent waiting for it to dismount. Even if they'd make the enter button (center of the scroll wheel) be eject while it's on I'd be happy. I'd like it better because I wouldn't buy another iPod just for an eject button Well this is entirely too long of a post, and being slightly drunk is making me babble, thanks and happy new year!

The Up/Down button actually toggles up and down. Think of your electronic switch for your car windows. Too lazy/good to work that in with PS.

Mega fake. The gradient and all the lines are obviously done in a drawing program, and no way Apple would use that 2x2 button interface. [/QUOTE

It does look plausible for Apple.
They are likely not real though.
Nice work though.

sorry, yes it is
What the hell?!?!
Why would they have done that?
That's too much! I don't know what possessed the webguy at Target to drop that photo in.
Really Mini iPod
If the remote had a screen, this would be pretty cool.

I can see Apple doing this. 100 bucks or less.
They are doing monopoly of mindshare.
It's worth the mindshare.
Especially if it leads the 'user' back to the mecca of Mac.
They MUST 'critical mass'.
iPod for 100quid or less.
They ownz the market.
Mindshare. Tide turning. Market share.
If they 100£ the iPod...then Dell better watch out...
Could a Mac Dell buster be to follow...?
Lemon Bon Bon
PS. I wish Apple the best in 2004.
