    you don't like Billie Joe's cherub-like face?

Please tell us all what guy pop stars you do find attractive?

Seriously, though, too bad Janet Jackson isn't in iTMS, i sorta got in the mood to listen!

Jeez what is wrong with you people. The Janet Jackson thing was just too much for you all wasn't it? If you can just look beyond the end of your d*cks for a minute....

This ad is so wrong it's not funny. This is one of the sickest examples of child exploitation I've ever seen. I'm ashamed of Apple for being associated with this crap in any way, shape or form. It doesn't matter what they may or may not have done. At least some of them are CHILDREN for christ's f**king sake! They are not old enough to decide if it's a good idea to be involved in something like this and it shouldn't be up to their parents because they are not the ones who will bear the consequences of this.

It might look like a harmless bit of marketing but putting your head on national television can have many unforeseen repercussions for the unwary and naive.

Sorry but I see absolutely no glory in humiliating children in this way. Only tawdriness and cowardice.

Oh and chester if you reallly want to make an argument out of this whole deal over a stupid ad. Using colorful language that gets edited on here doesn't help to mak your point, it makes you look ignorant.

Do you even live on this planet? "sickest example of child exploitation"

Why do people think it's humiliation? It just boggles my mind. Like this register article:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/35291.html

People are completely insane. No one forced them to do it, and they got paid. To me its more of a flip off the the RIAA than anything.

The fun thing about the ad is that that is definitely how people took it. At least, everybody I was watching the game with. They loved the ad. At the end of the ad one of my friends said, "so...alternate ending, 'and there's not a thing anyone can do about it', so Fvck you [insert raised middle finger]"

Maybe the exploitation phrase wasn't the best choice of words but it is exploitation and it is sick. For once I agree with The Reg but then they blow it by dragging Steve Jobs children into it which is equally inappropriate.

Of course people think it's a flip at the RIAA - that's exactly how the ad's been dressed up to look. But I don't think the RIAA will really care too much as long as people use their middle finger to hit the buy now button.

What this ad really is, is an attempt to justify what the RIAA is up to. Fine. But couldn't we do that as a public debate and not involve children?

Incrimminated, accused, charged, busted? Talk about my language. But THAT'S not a little over the top? Sure sounds like they're calling these kids crimminals to me (but it was a civil action brought against them). It's just so gutless, like everything the RIAA does.

I don't know what it is about iTMS that makes otherwise intelligent people go completely brain dead but that seems to be one of the effects. It certainly seems to have killed any chance of a proper debate about copyright and its implications in this forum. Seems to me people round here blithely parrot this "the artist deserves to be paid" crap without giving it a second thought. I make my living out of my art and I think it's up to my audience whether I deserve to be paid or not, after they've decided if my work is worth it.

And as a live performer, I know that treating your audience with contempt is an extremely stupid and dangerous course of action.

BLeST I'm neither mad nor upset. Well not at anybody here. I'm sorry if you've interpreted my words that way. I'm mad at Apple for being a party to this but I'm not about to lose any sleep over it.

So now what you're saying to me is "Chester nobody agrees with you so:

    1. you're trying to force your opinion on everybody else

    2. there is no point discussing this"

Nobody told me you were the spokesperson for the entire AI community BLeST. But thanks for letting me in on the secret. Nor was I aware that certain Apple related topics were subject to AI censorship. I'll remember that one too next time I'm silly enough to think about trying to have a reasoned debate with anyone on this subject. Maybe someone can post the list of other forbidden topics so I'll know better in future.

I've been to four grocery stores in the last three days and they all have Pepsi bottles with the previous contest (NFL related) which ended on 12/31.

It was a joke Ti Fighter. Get over it. I assumed you'd be big enough (no pun intended) to take it. I see I was wrong.

And given I've read many posts here that have been far more over-the-top and strongly worded without attracting any comment, you might want to ask yourself why you have such a problem here. I already know the answer to that one.

Listen you came in yelling about how the commercial was so horrible and sick. Some people disagreed with you, and then you come back saying iTunesMS has made us completely brain dead because we don't agree with you, and that you can't discuss anything here. It seems you can't discuss anything here cuz it's hard for you to have a rational discussion if anyone disagrees with you. It's a freaken commercial, relax already.
