It seems you can't discuss anything here cuz it's hard for you to have a rational discussion if anyone disagrees with you. It's a freaken commercial, relax already.

Nope, I'm not yelling anymore than I'm upset. But if you have the need to patronize me in this way, go right ahead. I can take it. I love the language Ti Fighter, and enjoy using it exuberantly every chance I get.

I really don't want to fight with you or anyone else and I certainly don't mean you any harm. I respect your right to disagree with me. Indeed, unlike BLeST, I'm with Voltaire on this - "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."

I didn't say I couldn't discuss anything here (although right about now I'm starting to get that feeling). FYI, I've done an almost 180 degree turn on this whole copyright thing in the past 12 months. That long slow process began with my own growing feelings of disquiet about the whole business. But it was actually an AI member who I previously disagreed with vehemently (and who I've rarely seen mince words or get slammed for it), that influenced me to consider the other side of the debate (something I hadn't done up until then).

With respect, you haven't really addressed many of the points I've made. But that's OK, you're under no obligation to do so. But asking why copyright can't be debated openly (I mean on a societal level) between the RIAA and grown-ups, seems a reasonable enough question to me. And yeah, I have pretty strong feelings about the way these kids have been used because I once put myself in a similar situation and paid dearly for it. I wouldn't want to see that happen to anyone.

Part of my point is, I don't have the answers to all this copyright stuff. While my views have changed dramatically, I seem to have more questions than answers now. I have up until now, welcomed the comments and views expressed on AI (whether I agree or not) because there are some very smart cookies around here. But right now I don't know what to make of this place.
