I tried to replicate the slow typing and it's just NOT doing it. There might be an *ever so slight* lag when the animated smilies are showing, but it's negligable and doesn't concern me. Is this what you all are talking about?
I also am not having any problems with tabs. Could one of you more clearly explain what your problem is. What EXACTLY are you doing to cause it to do that?
Creating tabs. That's all. Sometimes, when you create a new tab, the tab opens, but the tab bar does not display. You can still navigate between the tabs using cmd+shift+right or left, but you can't see the actual tabs. Then, if you close the tab, the bookmark bar disappears. Apparently, keeping the tab bar always on solves the problem, of course, but that shouldn't be necessary. And I have a huge typing lag here (and my browser window is too big to scroll the smilies off screen (yes, I could make it smaller, but that's even more of a pain).
Okay. I leave my tabs bar on all the time, so that's why I'd never notice the problem. I'm still confused as to why you all are having the text problem and I'm not. I guess there are little times that it'll pause slightly while I'm typing, but it's nothing that I'd get upset about. Is this the "huge" typing lag of which you speak?
OK, it now seems that the tabs problem occurs every time I create a new tab (either via cmd-T or cmd-clicking a link). It has, at least happened the last several times I have tried. grrrrrrrrrrrr...
