My favorite 'scooped' ice cream is Moose Tracks (or Deer Tracks). Very Good. Little Macinac Fudge chunks in vanilla ice cream. Sometimes little flakes of shaved chocolate.
Essentially, this is meant to remind people of the thrills of walking through the snowy Michigan Wonderland, whilst keeping them aware of all the deer and/or moose shit they'll probably step in if they aren't careful.
Insults aside, that is one funny site. I just read a few but I some descriptions there portray some friends dead-on. No offense Carol A, but I don't know you very well, therefore I won't jump to conclusions about your character.
Oh yea, and how could anyone forget Spumoni! If you get a good brand, it is awesome but I never got a homemade version to taste good. I'm also addicted to coffee ice cream. My third favorite would be orange sherbet from Dryers.
4) Green tea ice cream, another one from the Far East.
Yeah, next to chocolate this is my favorite.
I like 'bitter' ice creams, in that, I don't really like sweet chocolate ice cream, and I like Green Tea ice cream so much because it's generally less sweet than say...your average vanilla.

I'm still trying to perfect the Pilsner ice cream.
Seriously, A friend and I had some access to liquid nitrogen and we made vanilla ice cream fortified with a buttload of vodka. The liquid nitrogen is cold enough to freeze the alcohol into the ice cream. It feels really strange when it hits the tongue.
There's a local ice creamery here in Chapel Hill (Inside Scoop) that every so often has Guinness ice cream. No joke. It's *PHENOMENAL*.
A stout float is good too - take a solid stout (chocolate or nut undertones preferred), pour it into a large mug, and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Great for a summer day.

You should feel it in your hand, the weird evaporating softness...
Since I started my low-carb diet, my sweet tooth increased considerably, so I learned to make my own sugar-free ice cream. Of all the flavors I made, these are the ones I like the most, in alphabetical order:

Okay, okay, I'll tell. Come to think of it, it's really not that embarrassing anyway.
Carol, you're a Strumpet if ever there was one.
Wow! That was so-o-o-o not worth it. And more than a little mean too.
