I'm telling you guys: If anybody can do a tablet right it's Apple. A lot of people thought the iPod would fail when it was released out of right field a few years ago and look what happened.
I can see Apple saying to other tablet manufacturers, "we want to show you how to REALLY do a tablet right."
I think the iPod will become the media device which will get more features - Jobs has said there will not be a tablet. However, I would love to see one.
OK, after reading that bit about the Zodiacs on Sallings website last week, I went to Tapwave's website to check them out to see what they were about. I know they have avenues other than the Zodiacs so what I should have said is discontinuing. That would have been the proper choice of words. Sorry to have offended.
Oh, you didn't offend me. Just wanted to point out that Tapwave isn't dead yet. And, eventually, I'm sure the current Zodiacs will be discontinued. Just not yet.
You still missed what I said, the Tapwaves were officially discontinued. I admitted that I was wrong about the company being shutdown.
So, now flash forward a month and the company IS now "officially" shutdown. Looks like my source was correct.
He claims to have seen a MacOS X-based tablet and actually used it for a few minutes. Has anyone else seen/heard anything, or is this just more technology that Apple's built to test internally as proof of concept?
This is Rob Bushway.
A quick read of my blog post will actually show that I have not claimed to have seen the MacOS X-based tablet or used it. I was quoting a source of mine.

When OSX goes Intel, we'll see tablets .... hacked or real .... why not?
