    so who else is excited?

DUDE! Like, so say we all.

I can't wait for the Galactica - Pegasus eps. I do have a fondness for BSG TOS from way back but this version won me over. I can't believe that I was one of those that avoided the miniseries in 2003 b/c I was convinced that it would NEVER match TOS. Glad I was wrong.

I really liked the earlier eps of SG-1 but recently its just lost me unfortunately. SG Atlantis never quite seemed to get off the ground for me.

I KNEW she looked familiar, I just didn't know where I saw her before.

suni, the rest of y'all, let's kick this up again. I feels like discussing...

I really like C. Blacks character on SG1. That's about it... The show is no longer "fresh". The long time cast members are bored...

Atlantis, I don't know about this one...

BSG, now we're talking. Some critiques first.

I can understand there still being some military troops intact even after the devastating Cylon attacks. Would they have really have enough anti-radiation med-kits to last as long as they have?

They should have been able to clobber Starbuck and Helo right off. They had the element of surprise as well as superior numbers. Just a minor bitch.

Big daddy Adama showing up in the nick of time. Well maybe. OK, I'll let this one go just because of E.J.Olmos' performances. The guy as an actor doesn't get enough mainstream credit. I wonder why...?

The President's assistant refusing to go along with her. I didn't buy his reasoning after all they have been through together.

    The pros.

Hotdog's coming along nicely as one of the top aces behind Starbuck and Lee.

The Master Chief's previous coverup for (mmm) Boomer coming back to bite him in the ASS. Tigh's rough handling of the Cylon scum...

The troops shooting civilians. Considering the presure they have been under and how thinly they are spread out...it happens. Just like in real life. See above.

The whole mutiny/political-dissent aspect really throws an interesting monkey wrench into the procedings. If the Cylons manage to show up in force, game over. Eight Cylon humans and Baltar, bad news.

Baltar MUST redeem himself before its all over. Shouldn't he? We'll find out eventually.

All in all, an excellent drama/adventure show. On par with the better "TV/Cable" shows.

    Yea, I'm totally digging BSG.

As far as Adama coming back in time, I'm not quite sure of that yet. I guess he'll save the day somehow, he has so far.

I thought it was cool that Baltar got Boomer to admit how many Cylons were in the rag-tag fugitive fleet's ranks. Show of hands, how many think #2's wife is a Cylon? She certainly has sent him spiralling down the crapper.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Starbuck and friends back on Caprica. As far as radiation meds go? Caprica used to have billions on the planet. So there should be some serious medical supplies stocked up in hospitals and CDC type places. The trick is obviously making the scavenging runs without getting wiped by the Cylons.

Definitely Starbuck and Helo should've died. One guy had Starbuck dead to rights. Wouldn't help the plot too much though, although this series is dark enough to take out a major character this quick.

I missed the presidential assistant not going along with the president. Maybe he still felt they should work within the system? If they had just waited one more episode they would've talked with Adama I'm sure.

The master chief definitely deserved some crap. He had his suspicions, notice how he never answered Tigh's question whether he knew Boomer was a Cylon?

I'm hoping the new addition to SG Atlantis spices things up. Fighting the wraith can be pretty cool (what an adversary!) but the whole 'dating game' episode last week was pretty lame. I'm still not sure I dig the lady commander, maybe it's her voice or something.

Anyway I'll be tuned to Sci-Fi tonight.

    *Raises Hand*

    Too many unanswered questions.

SG1: Still shaky. They need to build friendships between people FAST. The show is loosing momentum.

Atlantis: Ford was cool and the new guy has a lot of ego. Still, I think the transition went smoothly. The last episode... well it was funny and I guess that was the intention after all those suspenseful wraith attack episodes. I won't spoil it, but the "souvenir" should help them out against the wraith like a similar situation did in SG1.

BSG: Thank the gods Adama is back! That was getting ugly, fast. So science geek was told there were 8 Cylons on board... But will he ever tell anyone? I would have put a tail on him LONG ago. To much responsibility and dependance relying on one person and even Adama must realize that.

Great point! Neither Adama nor Tigh completely trust Baltar. Yet, he's the only guy that can deliver the spies to them.

OK then, Ellen Tigh and Boomer make two. WHO are the other six? Oh man, this is gonna get good...

    heh.

    *EPISODE 04 BSG SPOILER WARNING*

    now lets get to it

    0. love the bsg doctor that smokes. classic

    1. baltar is a charlatan par excellence. just think of all those IT gurus that companies are so reliant on - that one main dude in your company that could be writing viruses in his spare time in his office and stealing your credit card numbers, you would never know coz your entire company depends on this one 'guru' to save your ass. only Tigh has the instinct to know he is dodgy. adama - like a CEO, he has no choice, no one else with the skillz around

    2. master chief and sharon, quite tragic... sharon getting axed, quite sad. but does her individual consciousness get merged back into the other copies or what? interesting

    3. presidents assistant? he's in love with D...!! why would he go on the run never knowing when he may see D again? he'd rather stay on the battlestar and hang with D. love people, luvvvvvv

    4. starbuck/halo - makes sense, starbuck+halo are highly trained military operatives, the people that 'had' them was a professional sports team. as good as they have become with guns, they're not military trained

    5. adama back just nicely. things fracked up enough, but at least he didn't spend the first *half* of the season or something on the hospital bed. gotta put his acting skillz to use. now also the father vs. son thing and military vs civilian thing set up nicely

    6. military shooting civilians. totally believable. sad, dramatic, a mess to clean up now, prez on the run and dying, starbuck with the arrow. season 2 set up nicely

all in all, intense yet not too dark, well, it is enjoyable to see where this is going. anti-radiation meds :: well mainly a plot device to allow story to develop on caprica, otherwise if just a barren nuclear wasteland then would not be fun. but think hiroshima/nagasaki. fucked, but people stumbled around for a while, some on the outer regions survived. with modern tech and med supplies in the BSG world, sounds plausible.

I need several days to get my wife caught up. Then we'll both be hooked on the only two shows worth watching: Lost and BSG.

Daniel's still annoying as hell and Teal'c is still one-dimensional, but Vala makes up for all of them. Oh, and the story line is really great. A new villain more powerful and more ominous than the Goa'uld.

Yeah but Carter is coming back in the next episode! Also anyone notice the Macgyver reference during Friday's Atlantis episode?

I wonder if their working on an Ancient tie in with Atlantis, especially now since they have a way to cross over now with the Daedalus class ships they have.

Yea, you'd have to compare KnightRider to the Buck Rogers series, or the original BSG/BSG1980, or V or something.

As far as SG-1 Atlantis goes, I wish they'd kill that annoying lead scientist dude and let the guy with the Eastern European accent take over.

They showed another model of Cylon clone (baby farm Doc) on Friday, who knows how many more models they have?

I'm surprised everone's ready to work with Sharon even though she's a Cylon. I'm surprised Anders took her into his group. At some point Sharon willl have to succumb to her Cylon programming.

TD is pulling our legs... However, most SciFi is cheesy. BSG is not.

The "rebels" need any kind of advantage they can get. It's possible that Sharon's love of Helo plus the baby baking in the oven might descramble "some" of her built in programming. Maybe.

Katee Sackhoff's portrayel of Starbuck is really starting to bloom. Now we're starting to see WHY the tuff-babe attitude.

Richard Hatch as Zarek, nicely done.

Billy and D, yeah, didn't think about that.

Is it possible that Specialist Cally is a Cylon?
