Hi Stephen.... Could you submit your posts in all lowercase? Might be easier for everyone to read. Thanks.
how do you capitalize words when you're typing with your nose/ do you have a really fast neck so you can get to the letters before the shift key has a chance to release/
He doesn't, the forum software does. He has caps lock on; when a post is all caps, it is instead transformed to be initial caps.
No, I Feel More Comfortable This Way. Now Please Let's Just Focus Ourselves On The Main Goal Here. I Type In Caps Because I Have (Cerebral Palsy) And I Can't Digitate With My Fingers. I Can Only Type With My Nose. So Consider Yourself Lucky That You're Not In My Shoes.

Dude, it reads like yer angry when you post all caps (which I can plainly see you are...now). It's harder to read, and it pisses off the people you are trying to talk to. Submit how ever you want to, but you won't get many favorable responses, I'm afraid.

You have to understand that viewing Apple's discussion forums as the way it is across all Macs is like saying your local news is a good reflection of reality. You're seeing the worst of what's out there. Think about it, why would people go to the discussion forums just to say, "I love my Mac! No problems here!" Not going to happen.
YOU GUYS JUST DON'T GET IT DO YOU. I'VE BEEN USING CAPS FOR YEARS NOW AND I'M NOT CHANGING PERIOD.
Hey, Stephen, sorry if I've been insensitive. Until I just looked this up on Google, I honestly thought this was a joke (not hard to believe on a site like this). I guess I learned something new today. I apologize... <feels like an ass>
Stephen, sorry to hear about the CP, I had a roommate with a (luckily) milder case of it.
The others are right on one point, however - using the discussion boards at Apple as a judge of the relative spread of a problem is a really poor idea. Statistically, it means squat, since it is a pre- and self-selected group.
You're having issues with common operations in common apps, but they are not universal, so an OS upgrade is not likely to solve them, except through happenstance. (Such as the upgrade causing cache files to be purged and reconstructed... which can be done at any time.)
You Guys Are Forgiven. You Guys Aren't The First Ones To Hassle Me About Using My Caps. Anyhow, I'll Just Be Waiting To Hear About The Mac Os-x (10.4.8) Update. Like With Panther It Was The Stabliest When They've Got Up To (10.3.9). So, There's Still Work To Be Done To "tiger", Agreed.
Well sure, no release of any application is 'perfect'. It's just a matter of whether there is need for a *critical* update due to widespread problems affecting a large number of users, or whether it'll be a recommended update that fixes a lot of small things. So far, 10.4.8 doesn't look like it'll be one of the former.

Wow, this thread is 95% cruft. Can we get on topic?
Stephen, there's a couple of things you can do that will likely eradicate your problems with OS X. The first is "repair disk permissions". Open your Utilities folder and launch Disk Utility. Select your HD in the left-hand pane, and choose Repair Disk in the right half of the window. At the bottom left of this pane, click Repair Disk Permissions.
You can also delete ALL folders in your /Library/Caches/ folder and your ~/Library/Caches/ folder (the one in your home folder!). Deleting the items in the latter folder will likely solve your erratic issues.
If you have done both these things, then restarted your Mac, and still have issues, feel free to post here or in the Genius Bar and we'll take it from there. OS X.4.8 is not the solution to your problems; a properly running 10.4.7 install shouldn't have the issues you are describing.

I can't tell if he's joking, or not. What do you guys think?
No, I don't think he's joking. Cut him some slack.

Chucker: How come some times it does come out in caps like in this post?

The filter only becomes active when the entire post is upper-case.

I feel like a junior high hall monitor.
