No one knows what Time Machine will look like in Leopard RTM-GM. What we do know is that, allegedly, the space effects were toned down in an update to the Leopard preview, delivered via Software Update.
What the implications to this may be, we can only speculate. Perhaps they're debugging the feature. Perhaps they're trying to make it less playful.
