...a new MacBook, preferably 14" wide, 1440x900(???).
I don't think there'll be a 14" MacBook.
I do think that Apple will release an ultra-light 12" portable.
A totally new device that may only sport solid state memory (like the iPod) and may even only have a FrontRow like interface. Maybe even a completely sync only portable (like a grown up iPod with a keyboard and a FrontRow/Mac OS X interface). A true iPod like consumer device. The boldest device to come out of Apple since the iPod.
Guesses for names: MacBook mini, iBook, or even the new iMac.
That is only a guess...
...as for a wild, crazy rumor: Apple licenses Mac OS X to Dell!!!
My reason for thinking this is that Apple never really entered the the Direct/Mail order/Phone retail business that Dell staked. Also when at NeXT, Dell was one of the first licensees of NEXTSTEP for Intel.
Mac OS X for Dell to run on say exclusively on AMD powered Dell and Alienware machines.
That way, there would be little overlap of hardware with Apple's offerings...
As with all alliances/partnerships, Apple will see how successful it is and if it doesn't cannibalise sales...ala HP iPod, IBM license of NEXTSTEP, etc. It is however, likely to capture a great deal of media attention...though this is all hearsay. I'm just having a laugh at guessing at what's up Steve's sleeve :-)

Two words: No Way. There is way too much bad blood between Steve and Michael "I'm copying Apple!!" Dell. Not only that, but there is no advantage to Apple to risk losing its hardware sales by allowing another set of Clones back into the Apple camp.
And I'll be able to use Pages 3 and Lasso for my Lab Report which is due on Wendsenday (though I'll make one in Pages sometime before that, in case I don't manage to grab iWork in the Evening)
Steve is also known for surprising acts of Diplomacy...the IBM-NeXT partnership, the Sun-NeXT partnership (which was when NeXT did an about face and shook hands will long time nemesis - Sun). It's really not beyond Apple or Steve.
no matter how UN likely a 14" MB is its still MORE likely than a 12" ultra light
I'm not sure if you're laughing at me, or at the idea of Apple being able to produce an ultra-light Mac?
Well think of it as a portable quivalent of the iTV device with an almost exclusive FrontRow type interface: something we can really watch videos on! Given that is fantastic product of my imagination, i would also think that it's more likely to ship alongside Leopard and the new iTV device. But who knows...
Anyway, i think pretty much everyone has extrapolated that Intel's Core 2 Quads are going to make it into a Mac. Intel are launching the Core 2 Quad at CES next week at the same time.
I mean, it's the same routine as last year - Intel released Core processors at CES and Apple released the Intel iMac and the MacBook...
