well said! its one cable, do you have a life, if you are coming on here complaining about one cable then i guess not!
That may be correct but from Steve Jobs own mouth one of the big advantages of buying an iMac over a PC is less cable clutter! Go Figure!!
Steve Jobs also said the below...
Quote:
As for optional keyboards, everyone has their own tastes. We went with what the majority of our customers like - which is a smaller keyboard - so that we offer one of each, a wide and a smaller model. If you want a wide wireless keyboard, many companies make them.
So this raises two questions...
A.) How does Apple know that the majority of their customers like smaller keyboards?
The last BT keyboards were full size, did they sell? I am guessing they did (i bought two).
So where did the intelligence come from that pointed Apple in this direction, how many
customers on this forum were asked which keyboard they would prefer?
This is classic Jobs, i am not sure he ever really knows or even cares what his customers
want, Apple just make stuff knowing some people will buy whatever they make.
B.) How many share holders on here are happy with Steve Jobs suggesting that if people want a
full size BT keyboard they should buy one elsewhere?

A) I cannot accept the idea that Steve doesn't know-- I think the evidence is pretty good that he knows what we "will want" even before we do a lot of the time. I can easily recall all the times these boards and many of us thought Apple was nuts doing what turned out to be a great idea. Of course, I bought the G4^3, so what do I know?
More recently, I thought I would hate the new keyboard, albeit the full size one, but after a week using it my wife and I are fighting over it and I'm off to buy another one, relegating my previous "collection of Apple keyboards, including the wireless one" to the closet.
I am looking forward to popping the little wireless one in my laptop bag when I get my hands on it. I certainly agree that there should be an option of a big one wireless , too. Can anyone explain its absence with other than "Steve is stupid/arrogant"? I wonder if there is a technical problem either with aluminum or other aspects of the design that would make making one impossible. I found the absence of USB on the wireless one a real weakness, but like some, I wish there was a way to make a gyroscopic mouse that didn't need to dragged around that would work from the sofa.
There is no new mouse. He was just saying that having a BT keyboard with no numeric keypad is like having a BT mouse without a scroll wheel.
That really depends on what your needs are. I wouldn't use it at my desk, but with my HTPC, I don't need to enter numbers nearly as often, so the upper row would be fine.

No, for me, the keyboard will be centered on the lap and mouse on the end of the armrest, like I already do with a larger Logitech keyboard.
