I would suggest you ignore the advice below. Never buy the first line of anything from Apple including operating systems. Much better off with a tried and tested machine. Let some other idiots be the guinea pigs!!
You're going too far. Most of the time you're advice would be wrong. Sometimes it might be right.
But it applies to every other manufacturer as well.
There have been few to no problems for people who bought iPhones the very first day they came out.
