Seems low: I guess this works because they are making their money through subscription? They'll really have to work hard to block people from cracking the new phones for use off of partnered carriers...
Stevie boy is good at attracting new customers, but he sure does a nice job of alienating his current customers...
How's that? Lemme guess <full whine mode>I just spent $500 on an iPhone and Apple came out with a new one with better features at less cost. They cheated me!</full whine mode>
Everything looks great, especially the price drops. However, even though it wasn't expected, I am disappointed that they didn't introduce a 32gb model. For me, it has to have enough space to replace my 30gb iPod I have now. One of the big attractions for me (besides internet, etc) is to have an all-in-one device so I don't have to carry around phone and iPod. So I guess the wait continues for me. Is the 32gb memory just too expensive to produce? It would seem it can be done if they can do it in the Touch.

It could be the power draw. The iTouch doesn't have as much of a problem in that regard. I guess they could have charged $399 for the 32 GB version.
But, I'm wondering why they haven't dropped the prices for the iTouch. They still cost $299, $399, $499.
And the 8 GB Nano is still $199, though it may sell because of size.
I'm wondering if Apple is intending to kill the iTouch, and get people to buy an iPhone instead of a Nano.
If not, perhaps new models soon.
Anyone for another "special" event after the iPhone is in the market.

I like the back of it. Much better than any of the mockups or hoaxes.
You are kidding right?

Nope. Since that picture appears to be a real iPhone, it is neither a mockup or a hoax. i was only referring to mockups and hoaxes.
Also, still a 2MP camera.
I am getting the impression you have to sign the contract before leaving the store.
