$399 is what I was thinking. Considering the historic price points of the iPhone and what you'd be getting that would be a good price. A 30gb iPod is $250 plus you get a phone and internet device. $399 would be a good deal for what you'd be getting. I know I'd be willing to buy one at that price.

But, it's likely the power draw.

It may not be thinner but it does look to have a different profile. The back look more rounded than the current iPhone.

What bothers me about a rounded plastic back is?SCRATCHES!

Many phones have small teats on the back of the phone so that when you put it down, the back doesn't sit on the surface (if its flat), thereby, preventing scratches. Others have a hard paint.

It looks at though this back will be commented upon a lot.

I have a hard black plastic case for mine and it doesn't have any scratches.

Worrying about scratches on a cell phone is the stuff of women. Honestly, be a man.

    Cut and Paste?

    Hello.

One year later, version 2.0 of the software, a 2nd generation iPhone AND STILL NO CUT AND PASTE?

    WTF Apple?

Did the basic architecture of the Touch UI make it impossible to add this feature?

That's a good point but I think you'd be mad not to own a case for it.

Wow! How did you sneak out of pre-school?

Either grow up, or go back to watching Barney.

This is for adults and mature teens.

Of course, but I see most iPods and iPhone without cases. They're selling a lot of cases, but most are not buying them.

Do you have a case for your car keys too? Wouldn't want to scratch the plastic on that.

Still no A2DP???... What the heck are they smoking?

That pretty much seals it for me. I'm not getting another one. Chalk up 1 non-return customer.

some are soooo petty come on you will have an apps store soon many ways for developers to make money and support the platform. as far a price well it is still high end since many choose phones based on if its free or not, let them subsidize this pony save me some bucks, all electronics stuff has come down, i can get a dvd player at walmart with remote for $27, my dads first vcr was $1200 when they first came out that's like 5million in todays dollars voice dialing will probably hope hope come via apps store, why not one of you create one?

it's great and its moving the platform forward, look at the integration and consumer ease of use that apple has given us, and maybe a slingmac for iTV remote with the iphone, wow that's tasty

maybe with mobleme i can use more of the .mac services, storage, pictures, etc

    we just like to bitch

now what about this back to school season and Christmas buying season.....maybe colors, more storage what other thing does SJ have up his sleeve ....will today's announcement be it till we go brain numb next june?? i don't think video chat till v3

is this enough to carry the iphone growth till next june???

do we need another form factor?
