Since returning from our little 36 hour vacation, I have had several confirmations that OS X build 6C115 has in fact, been declared the Golden Master. On the same token, however, build development has continued (of course) as there are a couple of choice fixes that will need to be resolved after 10.2 is released as build 6C115. These fixes will eventually take the form of the minor updates we?ve all come to know and love.
As for what will be fixed the post-6C115 builds, there are still minor issues with FTP connections as well as with the built-in Windows browsing. But don?t worry: these issues only rear their ugly heads under very specific network circumstances, so the vast majority of OS X users will never have to deal with them prior to Apple releasing updates in September.
umm. aquatik. who wouldn;t get a in your opinion? They've been the most conservative IMO. of all the gossip site.

yeah, the MacNN formating sucks, it sucks suck sucks and I hope AppleInsider keeps this system, i love it, love it love it and MacNN sucks sucks sucks

I know this is a bit off topic, but I'll tell you that I'm already making some new templates for AI's switch to vB. Believe me, we WILL NOT make the switch until everything has been tested and stamped with Jonathan's seal of approval. vB is a very nice system, provided you can get the layout to look good.

Not much, I new MacNN would be down for awhile, they usually are when making such changes.

Actually the vast majority of OS X users can't get the FTP feature to work, the server mounts on the desktop, but there is nothing there, can't upload, etc.
Oh yes, I've seen the "hell on earth" battle raging at MacNN. Participating in them is the last thing I want to do right now.
The simple truth could be that Apple simply couldn't get this fixed in time to meet the August 24th deadline. Upon installing 10.2, we may be immediately greeted with a Software Update to install.

Lets hope
That finder FTP thing rocks when it does work, faster than iDisk.
Finder FTP--well, it connects and mounts and shows the files and downloads really fast for me. I can't upload, though...I am wondering, perhaps that's purposeful? I mean, does it say anywhere that this is intended as a replacement for Fetch &c?

6C115 Is The Golden Master

Hmmmm interesting, so that's why when installed your build number states 6C115?
The latest build from ADC states 115. So unless someone is grabbing internal non seeded builds that's complete hogwash.
I downloaded one of these 118's to see for sure and it was a joke, it was 115.

Hogwash...sorta like Moki's thinly veiled hardware predictions.

You wound me.

users can't get the FTP feature to work... can't upload

Exactly.
And, thus, the FTP as absolutely useless for me.
All I get from them is "It works great"
Only on certain FTP sites, like say, Apple's...
