there's one issue that isn't fixed with 115, if you have images on your desktop, and you select the option to show the preview, the icon of the image files is obviously the preview of said image, however when you select it, there is no dimming, ie no feedback whatsoever that the icon is selected. This can get annoying quickly. No text selection on anything on the desktop is already pretty annoying and confusing at times, but no selection at all...

huh?
if i select the preview it gets a thin blue line around the icon.

you mean clicking a file and hitting return to highlight the name of the file?

This is NOT the replacement for the spinning rainbow cursor. This is the replacement for the asynchronous "chasing arrows" icon.
Regarding Snapz, go back and read my original post. The new Jaguar-only version will be AFTER 1.0.6.

Take an image that *hasn't* got a preview. Drag it to the desktop. Go to the presentation options for the finder (command-J), and select show preview. The finder generates a preview of that image file which didn't have one before, and which is substituted to the icon of that file. When you clic on that image (single clic to select it), nothing happens, there's no feedback whatsoever.
As far as the text is concerned, I was talking about the fact that when you select items on the desktop (not just their names for editing), only the icons dim, the text doesn't highlight as it does in folders

It is $30 without QuickTime movie support ($50 with QT support)

iChat is lacking a lot of key features in 6c115, is it possible that iChat is still in development?

It will probably always be, hopefully. iChat is great.

now i'm really confused...
so
1.0.6 Works in 10.1 and 10.2
1.0.6+ works ONLY in 10.2
1.0.6 works on 10.1 AND 10.2
A later version will probably ONLY work in Jaguar because it will incorporate new features that are only available with Jaguar.
