It's by intruding themselves into the Apple's ecosystem that they're gonna kill iPhone. What a bird flu virus!

I sincerely hope they lock the Pre out completely. If your correct in that people do not buy their phones for iTunes, then iTunes access won't really matter....let the Pre sync with Amazon. If iTunes is not a buying choice, why did Palm announce it as a bullet point when announcing the Pre??? If it were not a selling point, it should have been simply an asterisk down at the bottom of a Pre spec sheet. Apple has always stated that they are a HARDWARE company...they create software simply to sell their hardware. Palm has made several major mistakes that could end-up in a lawsuit that they simply cannot afford. Syncing with iTunes, by whatever means they are using, and having former Apple engineers on staff that were privy to trade secrets could be Palm's downfall.

The great thing about Apple is that they will probably allow the Pre to sync and simply move forward as the competition plays "catch-up". There is one feature that would stop all competition in its tracks....if this feature arrives June 8th along with AT&Ts bandwidth upgrade. Game Over for all other mobile devices for a time.....what is this feature????? Video iChat....every High-school kid in the country will move to the iPhone if given the choice and a $99 wal-mart 4GB iPhone may make that possible.
