yup, just what i figured. steve's entire life has been leading up to this one moment, where he could launch a product in the USA just so he could pull the wool over the eyes of the rest of the world. i'm sure he's sitting back in his chair doing his best montgomery c. burns impression. yeesh.
I couldn't agree more. We children of the baby-boomers have been taught to expect and demand the world at our fingertips. Led to believe that everyone and everything in life should be fair and equal. Taught to expect life to be less of a roller coaster and more of a easy flowing river. We depend on big business and the government alike to cater to our needs that we claim to be 'rights' but are really just 'wants'.
And, I agree - it's sick.
Yeah, that damn Declaration of Independence misleading all of us hippie baby boomers. Self evident truths my ass.
Talk about entitlement mentality... It doesn't matter whether its the latest gear from Apple or the latest handout from the government, people really need to lose the entitlement attitude to everything. It's sick.
+1 PS It is an American company, with American shareholders. Only makes sense to satisfy the American demand before anyone else. Makes sense to me.
Man, I sure hate it for those who are having wifi issues.
Mine screams!!!!
Agreed. When I read about all the issues I tested mine on my Verizon FIOS router and it screamed. Much faster than my iPhone on WiFi on my network. But just because I am not having issues doesn't mean others are not, I am just pointing out it seems isolated.

This is interesting because I thought the WiFi issue was that the iPad signal was too strong.
I was reading today that Israel was banning the iPad due to security reasons because the Wifi signal was to strong and could mess up other devices.
i think you're just trolling. i got my pony as promised and everybody i know got their pony too. all those rumours of ponies being delayed by a supply problem are just that - rumours. it takes time to ramp up pony production!
So when the iPad was not completely sold out on launch day they said iPad was doomed. But when is was sold out during the first week it is Apple screwing their customers?! And worst, when Apple says they can't keep up with demand and they need to delay international launch it is we "demand" explanation!! Here is the explanation.. not enough iPads. Even an idiot can understand that
An idiot, maybe ... but someone with issues, not so much.
Then when he sits down to answer individual e-mails (assuming he's the one doing it) and addresses customers' concerns he's accused of something else.
Chances are, SJ knows exactly what he's doing, why he's doing it, and what the outcome will be. It's all intended, all plotted out, all part of a well thought-out plan.
That's what I love about his emails, you absolutely know they are from Jobs because an executive customer support team would never respond to customers like that.
Man, this whole "facing his mortality" thing has turned El Jobso into quite the chatty Cathy. Before you know it he's going to be on twitter. Or at least he could start his own blog -- "Real Steve Jobs".

More to the point, Apple's primary market by a long shot is the US. All of the others are secondary in terms of the amount of product sold.

Possible explanations re Xcode requirements.
"By telling developers to move to XCode tools, Apple is setting the stage to potentially switch architectures".
I thought Apple said you could use C, C++ or Obj-C
