Is this site gonna turn into a PerezHilton now? This is very silly story, just because Steve couldn't bring a weapon back to US he's not gonna visit Japan...just silly.
Nowadays, if it's not Nerf, it's a weapon. And I'm not too sure about Nerf.
If you are a pirate hijacking your own plane just for the hell of it is not so far fetched. I am sure Stevie is a pirate, though. Remember - To err is human. To Arrr is pirate. - which proves it.
LOL Of all the things that you simply can't believe about Apple and Jobs, the one you stand by is the one about Jobs vowing to never return to Japan because he can't bring back some throwing stars on his private jet? Awesome¡

He intended never to return to Japan. But then he hijacked his own plane, kidnapped himself, and took himself back to Japan by force. A tense standoff between SWAT teams and throwing stars ensued.
Seeing as how the airport treats private and public jets the same, it makes sense that Jobs was not allowed to take a WEAPON on board THROUGH THE AIRPORT
He wasn't not allowed because he did not attempt to do anything.
SJ actually deprived someone in Memphis of a liver transplant.
No, Steve Jobs most likely DID NOT "deprive someone in Memphis of a liver transplant. You need to understand how organ transplants work. You can't just take an organ from a random person and put it in another random person and expect everything to be fine. There has to be as close a match between the person donating the organ and the person receiving the organ. Not only that, but there is only a short window of time for an organ to be put into the recipient before it goes bad. Many organs are wasted all the time because of this.
And Steve Jobs is NOT the only person to go to another place for a transplant. "Ordinary" people do this too. I know an endocrinologist in Ohio who sends diabetic patients to Kentucky for pancreas transplants all the time. Does that mean that the Ohioan is depriving a Kentuckian of a transplant? NO! A local cardiologist sends all his heart transplant candidates to the Mayo Clinic for heart transplants.
If I have patients that need a transplant, I encourage them to do the same thing Steve Jobs did: research as many places ALL OVER THE US to find the best place to get the transplant done. Many times where a transplant is done makes all the difference.
Do some research into the process before you make up things like this.

Debunked. Ha! I knew he was a pirate.

I finks...
I think most posters here should re-read the story... debunked.
It was not debunked. It was denied.
Have any of you actually read that story on SPA! before commenting?
There is a limit to which depth we will descend. Arrr....
It was not debunked. It was denied.

The denial amounts to a debunking - it's an authoritative source that said the story was false.
Ninja stars? I thought Steve was a pirate
Maybe he didn't pay for them.
In all seriousness, I think he's more likely to be a magician:
- top hats
- dresses in black
- keeps closely guarded secrets
- talks about magic a lot
He just needs a beautiful assistant dressed in a skimpy costume. They need to replace Phil before that happens though.

The skinny, beautiful assistant is the product.

Wrong again, trollboy.
The denial amounts to a debunking - it's an authoritative source that said the story was false.
"I am not a crook" shares that attribute.
Remember what Apple and Steve done to some of their most successful companies with iPod, iPhone, iPad, and iTunes.
Sony (SonyEricsson, VAIO, PSP, Music, Film... maybe PS3 soon), Nintendo (DS), Docomo, Toshiba/Hitachi/Fujitsu (Cell Phones), and etc...
Steve to security guy: "You're holding it wrong."
Well done. Hilarious!
