Damnit, my Mavs need a big man. And no, Stormin' Mormon isn't a big man. Nowitski's a 7' small forward.

Give 'em someone tall, strong and preferrably black. 6'10" 240 will do nicely. Thanks.

Nash and Nowitski were cold as ice tonight (I didn't even notice Nowitski was playing). Wake up, you goddam foreigners!

Damn good series. I pray to God that if the Kings win this series they beat the unholy dogshit out of the godforsaken Lakers.

It was nice to see Lafrentz have a good game (I realize he's not the big man you're looking for, though.)

I got to play against him at a team camp when he was a sophmore in high school. He was already 6'10" and blocked like 15 of our shots.

    Christie sure posterized him, though.

Still hoping for 7 from these guys-this game rocked.

Did you catch Webber dissing the Dallas crowd at the end of his Sager interview?

No I didn't catch that. Webber isn't a winner, he'll cry his way through the rest of his career and be forgotten. No rings. He's not a winner. He can bitch all he likes he's a waste of talent.

Yeah, Raef I love but he's not a strongman. Not everyone can be Shaq, of course, but I'd like to see someone who makes Divac and guys like him think twice before backing in.

Right now we don't have that. The Kings could just abuse us down there all day if they wanted to. I don't know why they haven't.

Yeah, after the usual insincere sounding canned answers about "the team" blah, blah Sager wrapped it up and Webber said, "I just want to thank the fans at Arco, because this place wasn't even loud tonight!"

I hope the fans really give it to him Saturday.

    That's good-natured smack talk.

Not many guys couldve come out of that situation in college and let it past them. Webber's gone on to become a great player now on a great team after that timeout call. He joked about that.

Anywayz, call me back when the Lakers are done fixing another championship.

I hope by "fixing" you mean "beating the unholy dogshit out of every other team".

Face it, turdburglars, the Lakers will beat the shizitz out of anyone. I don't call that fixing, i call that winning. try it sometime, you might like it.

Celtics 66 Pistons 64 at the end of the game!

I'm glad I had to work!

As much as I wanted Kidd to get MVP Duncan deserved it, too. I thought he should have won it in '99. (Malone got it.)

David Stern, NBA, refs, NBC (TV)....
  • Reply 95 of 279
David Stern can't even tie his own shoes. He's too wrapped up in his own self-importance to pull off a "fix"

The NBA is nothing without superstars. The Lakers have superstars. Usually, superstars win.

Refs are the only suspect group, but they can't fix a championship.

NBC has Marv Albert, a ****ing freak on the air. They've got bigger things to worry about, like their own management that allowed him to come back.

Face it dude, the Lakers are just better than everybody.

And I don't even follow them that much.

    What was that you were saying? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

    Celtics win the series 4-1.

The closest thing I could think of as a fix is the refs looking the other way when Shaq is on offense.

If he's not in the lane for 10 seconds he's bowling someone over. And if you take more than two steps without dribbling it's a little thing we call "travelling". You'd think he was a fullback at the goalline.

If I was a ref that guy would foul out 6 minutes into the game and the Lakers couldn't get an offensive set going for me calling his ass at 3 seconds.

With the de facto NBA rules, though, Shaq is unstoppable.

Well just get ready for the Nets to kick their ass in the Eastern Confrence Finals (we all know the Nets will win tonight).

Considering that the Celtics have made it this far, I'm very happy with their turnaround.

The most interesting part of a Nets-Celtics series (if it happens) would be to see how the Nets deal with Paul Pierce. I think they can cover Walker, but I don't think they have anyone who can deal with Pierce.

Any way, it's been a great year for them and everything right now is just gravy.

It was already a given before the playoffs started that it would be Celtics-Lakers, NBA and NBC wont go back on that now unless somehow the Kings can fight through the conspiracy. Especially with Boston being good this year. My boy Paul Pizzle is in that new Nike commercial. Do that funk!
