Assessment includes different aspects as in tastes, character, attitude, personality, behaviour, etc. He definitely is a Mr. Scrooge with inferior tastes like Gates, LOL!
BTW, you can be poor and yet have impeccable tastes, or you can be filthy rich and have Bill Gates' tastes--it's really either you have it OR you don't!
Taste's are subjective so too judge someone based on what you think is good taste is foolish and ignorant. If someone chooses to drive a $5k car to work because it is practical does not make them inferior but since you would consider the car poor taste you would judge them as such. I drive 02' Honda accord to work, it is great on gas, my 2010 SRT8 sits in the garage. So to you, by me driving an 02' Honda Accord, I am inferior. To others, my 02' Honda Accord is practical and they may consider me smart and practical. If I am driving my '10, some will call me flamboyant and inconsiderate of the environment. Bottom line, if you instantly judge someone based on their material things you will lose and are a poor judge of character, character which has zero to do with material possessions. Hell I give more credit to someone with a paid off 02 Honda Accord than I would to someone driving a 2012 Ferrari and up to their neck in debt. Since you are here I will assume you are a Steve Jobs worshiper. That fool wore jeans and black turtlenecks, if you did not know who he was and saw him on the street how would you judge him?
I could ask you the same question about your Hyundai comments. Have you owned one? I have, a 2008 VeraCruz and had no quality complaints or reliability issues. Excellent value for the money IMHO. I feel it compared very favorably, quality-wise, with my wife's previous car, an Infiniti FX45 tho not near as fun to drive.

Thanks for setting us straight on where you stand.
And don't worry. I'm sure all those rational arguments provided by him against Apple are still absolutely spot on.
He obviously has an eye for these things, you know.
I'd also like to thank him for providing us all with our never to be underestimated, extremely important daily dose of laughter by referring to the lack of quality in German cars.
His knowledge on patent law is obviously only exceeded by his knowledge of automobiles.
Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and Volkswagen would like to thank him for bringing to their attention the obvious quality control problems they are known and renowned for.
Actually I've been recommending the Nokia 800 more & more lately to those who aren't the most technologically savvy. It can now be bought for 420 CHF vs the 750 CHF the iPhone commands. Plus the OS is the very intuitive and the easiest to operate I have seen in a long time not to mention beautiful. It's a very attractive phone and everyone has an iPhone today so why not stand out a little. It also comes in 5 different colors, pretty neat. All of people I know who want iPhone's anyway are now waiting for Apple to come out with a larger screened model and an updated system both of which I hope will be out this year.
My Sister was actually here in the hospital today to visit me and she asked me which phone she should get to replace her iPhone 4 as the screen is cracked. After 20 minutes of her playing with my phone I'm happy to report she's going to pick up a Galaxy Note in the morning. Which makes that number 14, the number of people I have now converted from an iPhone to a Galaxy Note and not one of them miss their iPhones.
It's funny to, they are all girls. Is the Galaxy Note a women's phone, I hereby now claim it to be. Seriously though we all love that huge screen to show off pictures of our kids and using it with long fingernails is much easier not to mention we have a stylus.
Thanks for setting us straight on where you stand.

But it's cheap - so it MUST be a great value.
BTW, in case you haven't realized it yet, I wouldn't believe anything that gatorguy says.

I know a guy who was worth about $5 billion before he retired (that's right - with a 'b'). He drove a 15 year old Ford and hadn't bought a new suit for a decade.

It's good I always have backup when I make claims then.

That would be evidence he considered his 15 year old Ford a good value.

Would you stop derailing the threads, maybe you need a coupon site or a Hyundai dealership so you can get a fucking value.
You're barking up the wrong tree. I tried to get the thread on track two dozen posts ago with post 128. Then again with post 132. Then again with post 134.
Inexplicably GTR and Jragosta thought it best to derail it again 25 posts later.
Ah, zombie flick then? It's hard to remember with all this talk about make believe sales and delusions of grandeur.
Oh wait. There is one Samsung branded product that would be an instant hit if they made it, and guaranteed to convert even the most diehard amongst diehards. Heck, even I would buy it.
Toilet paper.

Oh jeez, back to the BMW's again. . .
Oh jeez, back to the BMW's again. . .
I believe the subject matter of that post was the intensely laser-like accuracy of your judgement, not BMW specifically.
However, I understand your willingness not to refer to your earlier statements.
I wouldn't be too anxious to 'recall' them either.

More people buy Android phones... so that means __________ ?
I'm just trying to figure out if you're simply excited about the bigger number... or if there is some greater meaning...
