I'm not sure if this was posted in earlier threads but there's another video here of a plastic case, this time the green one:

I thought green would be a pretty bad color but it has a softer matte appearance in the video when he's holding it up and he mentions an oleophobic coating on the back (3:20).

One month to the most amazing smartphone ever created, plus a new iPad 5 and maybe an iPad mini 2, time to buy some more apple stock

Highly unlikely you'll get iPads at this announcement. I'm hoping for Macs because that actually could happen. Guessing we get the MBPs and the mini/iMac go with the iPads in October.

Now the real bomb would be if they do something with ATV or even that crazy iWatch (although I doubt it).

Also hoping they update the iPod touch because I love that little thing.

I wouldn't think Apple would announce a new iPhone without bringing out iOS7 at the same time. It just leaves the "WOW" factor back in the lab.

As long as you have LTE on the iPad and third party software like Skype, they're never going to make a cell phone for the iPad.

I use Skype, and it is pretty cool, but I can't see Apple relying on Uncle Fester not to turn it "un-cool." Besides, no sense letting any spotlight leak over into Microsoft's tent if it can be helped.

My personal opinion is that Apple has some surprises to reveal when iOS 7 finally is released -- like some code has not been part of the beta testing and hasn't been seen outside of the depths of Apple. Remember, Apple can keep the lid on software easier then they can hardware.

They could always announce it on the 10th without shipping it till later. Maybe pre-orders open on the 20th and shipping on the 27th, with iOS7 released a few days earlier, say the 25th. That'd give them two more weeks for ironing out the issues.

On the other hand, I'm hoping beta6 and the next XCode dev preview will come out next week and solve all my remaining woes, and that September 10th will be the go-live date :D

This is a very good point! Wasn't there something about FaceTime getting audio-only capability under iOS 7?

It's been a long dry spell for Apple consumers and investors, can't wait to be excited to cruise the Apple store again and have my kids torture them again :)

Introduce doesn't equal release. Could be a month later before we see hardware or software

But that is only Apple to Apple. And not everyone is using Apple stuff.

Apple won't announce a new iPhone unless they are ready to ship very soon. No more than a week later would be my guess.

Seems one prolific poster that kept predicting October and told people to "shut up and go away" if they said September has some crow to eat.

All they need is a nice large screen phone and they'll be back on track.

I most certainly believe you have that backwards. Apple is all about quality. Samsung is about quantity. Therefore quality>quantity

Amen to that. It really sucks that it looks like we will have to wait one more year for that. iOS 7 along with a iPhone 5C and the fingerprint sensor on the 5S should see them through next year until it is ready.
