Looks like Google is taking a play from Microsoft's playbook. Release a rendered vaporware concept video to preempt whatever product Apple is rumored to release.
Why do I feel Google and Apple 'competitors' are fooling people? They make the wearable devices look like capable running apps just like Android OS.
I just love how pathetic their UI mockups are. Text too small to possibly be read by the wearer, but it looks good in the image! Pictures shoved places because the places are there because they don’t have a clue how to design for a circle…

I look forward to your implementation of a good UI for a watch concept.
"Everyone on the Verge is shitting their pants over this concept pic. Why, just because it has a round display? How much information can you really display there? I can already tell I'd be squinting to see stuff displayed there, especially in the sun."

All these ands those need internet connection. Good luck getting info that quick and that smooth! Try browsing internet on your phone while moving from one cell tower to another in quick succession from low to high to non coverage.
That is a much better video of the interface. I think it's gorgeous.
The UI and UX reminds me of the Microsoft Courier.
In that it’s completely piecemeal, has no logical layout structure whatsoever, and the means of interaction follows no guidelines nor offers any clue as to the outcome of your actions. It’s just one meaningless and unconnected event after another.
Thanks for the video; it really pins down that they don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
Never mind that inevery single shotthe time–the only thing a watch is supposed to do–is completely unreadable. Leave it to Google to not be able to do the simplest thing possible. Can’t even detect the background and switch from white to black.
And then you have Apple, who was able to write an iTunes that takes the colors from your albums themselves and builds an explicitly contrasting UI. " src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />

So SICK of your personal attacks on people.
How 'bout YOU STFU and GO AWAY. No one give a flying CRAP about your opinions.
Go toss a salad Tool.
I am no so blindly antagonistic to non-Apple stuff that I can't see a good product when it arrives.
I think the Moto360 is a fantastic looking product. Obviously I don't know a great deal about it yet: battery life will clearly be key to its success, but from what is apparent right now, its execution is good and I'd certainly be interested in buying one.
I will be extremely interested to see what Apple comes up with in this sector. As a developer I'll probably buy one of these as well as an Apple one, but right now, of the smartwatch crop that we know about, this one is the pick so far for me.

I post gifs all the time. Weird.
OH I SEE IT’S BECAUSE THEY’RE MASSIVE.
EDIT: Weird. They show up for me in my post preview as I type, but not in the posted post.
I don't really think that video shows you enough of the interface to know whether or not it has any logical structure, but it seems to me that most of the interaction will be done by voice unless you're looking through Google Now style information updates. You have to at least admit that the interface looks good. It has a clean and modern design that reminds me of an interface Apple would create.
As for your complaint about the time being unreadable, I found only one example where it was an issue (screenshot 2). The sixth one is also a bit lacking in contrast but I don't have trouble reading it. A bigger problem seems to be that the system never updates the time! /s

Motorola Moto 360 coming this summer. Oh yeah, that is simply GORGEOUS!!!!!
I'm not a fan of smart watches, but I have to say this looks like the best implementation by far.

Edit: And I found two gifs in this article http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/03/18/google-announces-android-wear-youll-want-to-forget-all-other-smart-watches-when-you-see-this/
I tried to post the gifs here, but it doesn't appear that the forum supports them.

Seriously I bet these Andwatches have cameras just to see what you drank earlier in the day.
I'm sure there is going to be someone out there with a drawer full of unused smart watches by the time an Apple version comes out.
there where many mp3 players, smartphones and tablets before the iPod, iPhone and iPad even came to market. None of them mattered in the end.
