Why would apple get rid of a true tone flash that they just added last year as an improvement. Apple generally doesn't walk backwards.
Right now they use two LEDs, they say one is amber and the other is white but it's not obvious if it's an amber LED or a white LED behind an amber color filter. They vary the brightness of each light for 1,000 combinations of flash color. Perhaps they figured out a way to put a single white LED in there with an amber filter than can be adjusted. Imagine a single LED behind a circle that is split either concentrically or vertically and there would be an adjustable filter for opacity behind each color the way electrochromic glass works.
There is also the possibility that this is in fact a cheaper iPhone to replace the iPod Touch and doesn't have the features of the higher-end iPhone or could even just be the 5C equivalent - the 5SC. This would suggest they'd move the whole lineup to larger displays.
If so, I don't think that design looks so great but I'm also reserving judgment since the leaked images of the iPhone 4 from Gizmodo made the device look cheap before we saw good images.
Sometimes materials don't show up well in certain lighting conditions. I have that problem - I'm not very photogenic but I just know I'm beautiful. The metal and plastic will reflect the light differently so a camera might show a different contrast that you'd see in person. The iPhone 5 looks different in person than a lot of pictures of it.
I think this design looks like it would be very comfortable to hold.
If the corners are plastic though, they might not hold up well if the phone is dropped as that will often be the point on impact. Not much worse than the 5C though.
I reckon the Apple logo metal cutout and the metal top and bottom panels on the back are Liquidmetal parts. Because that's the only metal I know of that would allow RF transparency for the various wireless antennas.
Those thick looking plastic separation lines on the back are also still incredibly ugly! I can't believe Apple with its best in the industry industrial design, couldn't find a more elegant solution.
I believe that case / shell seen in the picture of Iphone 6 could be made of Liquimetal. If so this would make iphone 6 the thinest and lightest mobile device ever made of the proposed size.

So since this is the case, maybe instead of having stupid thoughts, you could think for five seconds about the means by which they could keep TTF while changing the design.

The HTC One is the same way:
There must be a technical reason for going with that setup when they have a metal back. Some metal cases have a thin plastic rim round the entire edge but that might not give the best signal and it means they can't have a unibody construction in the middle. Having the sides and the back as a single piece of metal makes it sturdy. It doesn't look too bad from some angles:
The lines do look a bit thick in other images but these are mockups AFAIK, not leaks. They were originally called mockups and they had different colors:
They are now being referred to as leaks because it makes it sound more legitimate but it's the same design as the mockup.
While not as rounded off, the Sony Xperia Z2 is single frame aluminum and quite thin and minimal, except for their choice of the dedicated camera button...but that's their standout thing. Probably the closest looking to the mockups.
My point was that there looks to be a bogus industry trying to fool Appleinsiders that they have exclusive info and photos of bits of new kit which often looks like photos of old kit or old kit touched up. The fact that most new apple kit design is evolutionary rather than revolutionary makes this possible. Is that ok with you????
No new design. Same with iPhone5. Apple has lack of innovation lately. Dissapointing
Right?¡ What is wrong with Apple that they would use the same case design for the iPhone 5S as they used with the iPhone 5. This never would have happened if Steve Jobs were alive¡

2) I'm quite excited about Swift. I hope this will be the first programming language I can truly learn and my dozen or so app ideas can finally come to fruition. That's where my head will mostly be for the next several months, and hopefully next year I'll be able to attend WWDC without feeling like I'd be taking a seat away from a real developer. Note: I'm assuming WWDC 2015 will be Swift-based, not Obj-C.
That might be a bit optimistic. Right now there isn't any Swift info out there for people who do not already code in Objective-C. Just following the examples in the iBook isn't going to get you very far without a background in Objective-C. You still need all the libraries and frameworks and know how to use them which the Swift iBook doesn't explain. If you are planning to write the entire app in Swift without that background you are going to have to wait until someone offers a beginner to advanced complete Swift tutorial. If you wanted to jump right in now your best bet is to learn Object-C because it will be quite a while before a pure Swift implementation exists. If you look at the Lister example app on dev, it is still full of Object-C libraries and frameworks.
There are some really great Obj-C tutorials on Lynda. That is what I used to get up to speed. Not free, but reasonable. I always maintain an annual subscription there and can highly recommend all their tutorials. Fantastic instructors.

I don't think Apple have yet invented technology that can retrospectively transform a phone into a different shape. But I could be wrong.
I agree. One of the things I'm looking forward to is rounded corners—nicer to hold.

I believe the very thin case / shell of iphone 6
in the picture is made of Liquimetal ? Possibily some
the internal components will also be made of same Liquimetal.
Light and the thinest mobile phone ever.
the picture of Iphone 6 could be made
of Liquimetal. If so this would make
iphone 6 the thinest and lightest mobile device
ever made of the proposed size.
Me like the new look of the iPhone 6! Now release it for sale, Apple, before September!

Yuck.
This is a RUMOR. It is definitely not for certain and there is no need to get all angry because I stated an opinion that you don't share.

That's because 97% of the design of new iPhones look like the previous ones.
Same as BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche...So, what's your point?
While not as rounded off, the Sony Xperia Z2 is single frame aluminum and quite thin and minimal, except for their choice of the dedicated camera button...but that's their standout thing. Probably the closest looking to the mockups.
Do they look very close? I don't think so.

I don’t think you understand. Blind people don’t have the right to comment on matters of sight.
