No bump on my iPhone 6P. But then I keep in a lightweight, thin profile case, just like most people. Who knew?" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />
The Apple case is so nice. I have the blue leather one and love it. Adds grip but not bulk.
Samsung took the wraps off its highly anticipated next-generation handsets, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, both of which use premium glass and metal to counter the blockbuster success of Apple's iPhone 6.
but...but...but... whiny Fandroids kept saying plastic is better so it won't scratch, crack, slip (when watching pr0n), etc...!!
Say it aint so!!
Samsung is going to fail so bad on this. Not only is it lipstick on a pig, but now they are pumping even MORE money into a sh!tty product thinking that's what will bring it back on-par with Apple. Of course, Samsung will do the usual routine of claiming of "shipping" millions of S6's, then eventually by some court document, or slip-up, the truth being that they "sold" nowhere near what they were claiming.
Looking forward to hearing the loud thump of Samsung's face smacking the concrete. They so deserve it. Their crashing financial forecasts is music to my ears. Bunch of corrupt miscreants they are.
Once thing strikes me about GS6 is starting storage 32GB. Long time back when ios 8 upgrade screwed many iphones with 16GB forcing to re-sync, restore, we all discussed that 32GB should be baseline. We all know that no amount of storage is sufficient but for most people, 32GB is fine just because of the demand and size of ios upgrade/evolution. Hope, Apple brings back 32GB as the lowest denominator starting from iphone 6 .
As far as GS6 look is concern, it is iphone 6 close imitation so no surprise/thrill their. Honestly, now Apple has a larger screen phones, similar look, feel, functionality of android phones don't matter and for example GS6 price is not a deal breaker either.

The time to invest in design was 2011, 2012 or so. Now it's too little too late, honestly.
The S6 Edge is not a terrible looking phone (I actually like the Emerald Green) but it's just not going to sell. Everyone else dallied and Apple got to make the last big strike (and victory!) of the war before it moves onto a new battlefield.

I expect iOS 9 to be a much smaller upgrade. 10 will be better because they can strip a lot of the 32-bit binaries out of the software, but 9 should be pretty streamlined, especially since there's less of the OS that will need to be changed. iOS 8 may not look different but Apple did a ton of under-the-hood work with it.

16GB is fine for most people. If 16GB isn't enough for you then you buy the next tier capacity, but don't bitch that you are being forced to pay the second tier capacity when you feel you're only a first tier user.

I'm more upset with 5GB as the base iCloud storage. That's pitifully small these days. Should be 5GB per device at least.

I still haven't heard a way in which they can reasonably add data per device.
The closest I've heard is by using Find My Friends authentication on a device, which then locks that device to a user's account. Great! So you are given 5GiB of iCloud storage. Now what happens when I turn off Find My Friend authentication on the device. Maybe I'm selling it or maybe I'm just wanting to wipe it and reinstall from scratch because of some wonky issue I'm having. Does it then simply remove 5GiB of data? Presumably I'm using that iCloud storage so what happens to my data? Does it just get deleted? If there is a grace period why can't my friends and I simply use each other devices sign in and out of Find My Friends on each others devices every so often so we get gobs of iCloud storage? What about those that don't realize that their data will be deleted by doing that?
I simply don't see how that's a reasonable way of allotting data when there is so much turn around on Apple devices. Is there anyone else that gives away data like this? Don't say Dropbox, but they don't. They only give you 500MiB (previously 250MiB) when you authenticate via Windows or Mac OS X (and possibly Linux), but not with iOS (and I presume Android and WinPh). And that data is permanent. I don't think Apple can give us 5GiB of data permanently every time we buy an Apple product.
How about just wanting them to offer more data or paying the 99¢ per month to cover your iCloud backups if you have a lot of devices on your account. I have to wonder if Google's "free" model has made us think too much like Eloi. Perhaps we should see that paying for gobs of cloud-based data isn't a crime if our personal data is to be kept safe as a result.
1) You can certainly look at it to say that Samsung has no conviction behind any of the crap they touted before, but you could also look at it as Samsung, for once, is actually attempting to build good HW with useful features.
2) LOL I think you're dead on about Samsung would have called it Spay if Apple had called theirs iPay.

It's an issue for sure, but I just know that I've only got two devices, and I don't have that much stuff backing up, and I keep hitting the limit.
I mean, MS randomly emailed me (because of my Bing Rewards account) and offered me like 50GB more SkyDrive space, and I already have a terabyte from Office365.
Maybe they could do a deal where you get additional iCloud space with iTunes Match?

If a transaction is made with a swipe from a card that has a chip, it will then change who is responsible if fraud is an issue.

I think you mean "charge the merchant"?

I am fairly certain the responsibility will fall onto the merchant, but I wasn't sure, hence why I used, "...will then change who is responsible…".
The case is obligatory to cover up the pimple and the ugly antenna bands.
Shame for those—like Steve Jobs—who prefer using a pure, naked iPhone.
SPay will be a failure, let's get that out right now. It's garbage.
I would consider it a "failure" if people actually used it, and gave up on it...
What would it be called if people don't even bother using it? A dud?

I see Bendgate in Samsung's future!

I don't think Samsung has the mindshare, despite being #2, for enough people to care that they said their Galaxy S6 series phones WILL NOT BEND.

Why the hell would pay the same or more to buy the imitation (s6) instead if the real deal (iphone)
Because fandroids are denial and stubborn. Seriously, Samsung can't just stop fcking riff off Apple design...lol

If that was how a 4" iPhone 6 looked he wouldn't have a problem with it.
