If the G5 should suddenly come to Apple's rescue, pushing the price of a 1.4 Ghz G4 down substantially, then maybe I will reconsider. But it's doubtful that will happen anytime soon.
I don't want to ruin anyone's fun, but has Apple ever put bullets before each line in a specification list? The list for the current G4s reads:
Powerful features and options.
Dual PPC G4 Processors up to 1.42 Ghz
Ultrafast L3 Cache
New 4X Superdrive
etc...
The leaked G5 specs read:
The world's fastest personal computer
- 1.6GHz, 1.8GHz, or Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 processors
- Up to 1GHz processor bus
- Up to 8GB of DDR SDRAM
- Fast Serial ATA hard drives
-etc...
Are these dashes (-) a sign of illegitimacy, or just a change of style on Apple's part?
Go and look at the Apple home page to see bullets. QuarkXpress 6 intro on the homepage uses this new style. Really at this point, coming from the damn apple store itself, can we really believe it was hacked???

seriously, he obviously isn't that much of a mac-head to say that he didn't think it would come anytime soon... I'm pretty sure EVERYONE thought it was coming pretty soon... to be honest though, he sounds like the kind of guy who should get a Dell.. I like being able to act superior every time someone asks me why I use a Mac. I like having a small market share... maybe if it were more like 10 or 20 percent it'd be better though.. But, Y'HEAR THAT DELL? KEEP THE BASTARDS!
