So is this a press conference or not?

My guess: A press release Tuesday announcing project Glove. Steve will do interviews about it after wards. he will report that after announcing xServe 2 weeks ago there has been tremendously positive reaction to its liscence rule. So they have decided to impliment Glove :o ne size fits all- across all products.

He will wax how important this is for schools who are sick of keeping track of how many liscences they have and worrying about eveil software audits. (jab at MS) So now when they buy ANY Apple software product from Appleworks to FCP they can install that on any machine they own.

He will wax further on how now a school or office can upgrade all its machines to X for 100 bucks. Or a movie studio/school can create a whole lab of editing machines with one copy of FCP.

This is my guess and I guess they are doing it now sort of ad hoc because they realised they have to announce it before or soon after they start picting it tio schools in what is now the "Buying" season for techware.

Has anyone thought that it seems weird for a news and rumor website like ThinkSecret not to devulge all details concerning the events of this coming week? I think it is really strange and the bullshit about not wanting to reveal sources makes me all the more suspicious that this story is just total crap.

On the other hand Steve could announce this: The launching of project glove or he could just reafirm and summarize everything going on at Apple for the media to hear.

Sculley? He will announce Vanilla Pepsi.

I thought that this rumor, "Glove" only applied to OS X, not FCP or anyother apple product. Anyway, i may be wrong. Besides its still a rumor.

John Sculley is a clueless dork. Read this interview with him last year about his prophecies for 2002 (<a href="http://www.darwinmag.com/read/thoughts/column.html?ArticleID=198"; target="_blank">Interview</a>): He believes absolutely everything is going to switch over to XML this year and that the XBox is the most exciting "cool" technology... Remember how in 2000, he suggested Apple merge with 3Com? This guy has been living off the fact that he was at Pepsi when it developped the first UPC bar codes and the plastic bottle for over 20 years now. Same thing for Quicktime at Apple. Personally, I think he was about as involved as Al Gore was with inventing the internet. How difficult is it to be CEO of Pepsi? It's Pepsi, you could be a corpse and the brand name recognition alone would sell itself for another 50 years. He's about as charismatic as a yuppy with a new car. Have you seen is latest venture? Gizmoznetworks.com. It's doomed to fail. <a href="http://news.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,s2077684,00.html"; target="_blank">It's the most unpopular marketing idea since the pop-up window ad.</a>

    iPod for Windows is coming.

I don't know if that's Tuesday's event, but just a little more chum for the feeding frenzy.

What happened to the watch that Apple and Swatch were gonna collaborate on?

If I remember correctly, it was supposed to be capable of downloading your email so you can read it away from your computer.

Maybe that's gonna finally come out.

But I still think that the announcement will most likely be about iPod for Windows.

The big news is coming from John Sculley so it seems. Here's some info on what he is currently doing:

    John Sculley

    Partner, Sculley Brothers

John Sculley was formerly President of Pepsi Cola Company for six years and CEO of Apple Computer for ten years, taking that company to number one in worldwide PC market share and the leader in multimedia computing. He is best known as a marketing executive who brought big brand marketing to Silicon Valley in the early 1980s and led major brand-building campaigns such as Pepsi Generation, Pepsi Challenge, Macintosh 1984, Apple desktop publishing, and the launches of PowerBook, QuickTime and Apple CD-ROM home computers. Advertising Age and AdWeek Magazine both have named John "Advertising Man of the Year." Financial News Network chose him as "Marketing CEO of the Decade."

John is currently an active investor in several California start-ups, and is co-founder of Sirius Thinking, Ltd., a New York City Children's educational entertainment company.Â*

    * CONFIRMED *

I'd say what's confirmed, but I don't want to reveal my source.

ThinkSecret should say something or nothing at all. If they don't want to reveal their source, that's not news or rumor. It's nothing. Just like the first part of this post.

    Possibilities:

    iQuit - Jobs' resignation

    iSuck - A FireWire powered mini-vac

iRate - What we will be if it's something lame

    iCandy - More Jaguar previews

iWin - Steve cashes in, quits Apple and flies his personal jet to live in Hawaii

All kidding asside... I really don't expect it to be anything at all on Tuesday.

SJ is going to announce that Apple's lawsuit against Appleinsider has been won. Because of the on-going stupidity of the posts (mine included) they are taking over the site and immediately are going to close it down. Hallelujah!

Yes, combined we have nearly one thousand paragraphs of stupid, enough for a small novel...Apple plans on selling it for $89.95, and according to my source the reason for the high price is that the glue manufacturer that Apple uses is having yield issues.

    Here's paragraph 1k1.

    1k2 just for kicks.

Oh and by the way Apple is buying Timex, have you seen how many people wear a Timex? Well pretty soon they'll be wearing Apples.

Just a thought... Seems everything that I've read says that it will be an announcement from SJ, not Apple. Don't forget that Steve also is CEO of Pixar. Maybe the announcement involves both? A new rendering solution involving all of the recent sofware acqusitions and xserv. ThinkSecret did say that it's not an "earth shattering" announcement.

Apple will also use Tuesday to announce news of its own.

My guess is Sculley is going to introduce some terminal type device.

Jobs will be announcing XServer-based chipsets for the entire powermac range, since he has suddenly noticed how nobody wants to buy G4 and be stuck with seriously outdated mac a month later ...

About that article, first it says little by using a lot of words. Second, it says nothing about new hardware (or new anything for that matter). And thirdly, he states the most asinine thing I've read in a while:

<strong>The dotcom era is turning out to be more like what CB radios were in the 1970s. In reality, the cell phone?not the CB radio?changed all of our lives.</strong>

I could make snide comments about how companies dumped quintillions of dollars into CB radio technology and how hundreds of millions of people got hooked on the CB craze, but I won't...well I just sort of did...

    Screed ...goodBYE, John
