  • Apple's Epic gamble: birthright citizenship ruling cited to overturn antisteering mandate

If Apple is hitchhiking on that particular case, to me they are also indirectly approving the topic at hand: that it’s okay to deport people as the Trump regime is doing today.

That is just you drawing your own conclusions. Apple need not approve the citizenship issue, but they can ask to be judged by the same yardstick, which is what they seem to be doing.

  • iOS 18.4 lands with more Apple Intelligence, Apple Vision Pro app

I am updating my iPhone right now (hoping this isn't some April Fool's Joke!).

I have AI enabled and have not had any problems with it. I do not use my phone a lot, so maybe I am not accessing stuff where the AI gets intrusive or irritating.

What little I have use, like the Writing Tools and Notification Summaries, work well for me. The Images Playground is okay. Some caricatures are spot on, while some look nothing like the people I base it off.
It is nice that I can use ChatGPT without creating an account for it. I trust Apple to maintain my privacy even when they open up Apple Intelligence to the other AI assistants.

For me, AI is not the bane that is killing my iPhone.

  • Car makers reject CarPlay Ultra as an Apple overreach

I wonder if this will follow the same trajectory as CarPlay and Apple Pay... lots of resistance, lots of "better solutions" and finally available everywhere.

  • Apple Vision Pro will help get to the bottom of colonoscopy cancer detection

A very cheeky headline! It really cracked me up.

  • Apple's AI ambitions go beyond Siri LLM with Knowledge chatbot and always-on AI copilot

AAPL again screws up...  Release in 2026? IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

When Craig was asked by Toms Guide if Siri will be rolled out in 2026, he avoided the answer and explained the root cause.
When Toms Guide asked Craig again for release in 2026, Craig looked over Joz.
    Joz said he confirmed.

Craig has no idea if Siri will be ready.. And the marketing guy said yes...

I bet that Siri will not be ready at iOS26, iOS26.1, iOS26.2 etc.

    Maybe 2027..Maybe...

But  By time they are ready, everyone will be on the next iteration of AI.

    Apple is rotten.
Oh good god, you’re just ignoring and spitting in the face of the forum moderators at this point who at multiple times have told you to knock this shit off. Go to MacRumors, they love trolls and shit posters.
I read the piece of John Gruber today where he says:

"I spoke this week, off the record, to multiple trusted sources in Apple’s software engineering group, and none of them ever saw an internal build of iOS that had this feature before last year’s keynote. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t such a build. But none of my sources ever saw one, and they don’t believe there was one, because they’re in positions where they believe that if there had been such a build, their teams would have had access to it."

So...Who is lying or ignoring? Craig/Joz or their team?

Who is trolling? We will find out. So many contradictions at the end. Release in 2026? Sure? I don´t knock it off.
Could it be that John Gruber is lying? Could it be that Apple's senior management shutting him off have scared his "trusted sources" into not leaking anything to him?

  • Review: 'Sky - Children of the Light' has arrived on the iPhone and iPad

Is multi-player mandatory or can I just play the whole game all by myself?
  • Developer angry that App Store is removing game that hasn't been updated in 7 years

If the developer is from Italy, I assume he can host the app on one of the non-Apple app stores for the iPhone.

  • Samsung Galaxy fire blamed in evacuation of Southwest flight

Other articles online are stating this was a replacement phone, deemed to be safe by Samsung.
Even if it was, if the airline still had a stated policy of Galaxy phones being turned off and unplugged, then the passenger could be held responsible by Southwest and the other passengers.

Exactly! I don't want to hear what Misty Whitaker has to say. I want to hear what the owner of the phone has to say. He/ She should be held responsible as far as this incident is concerned.

Samsung should be held accountable on a wider scale later for the recall/ replacement based on whether this was a "safe" phone or not. Conflicting stories right now about this.

  • Lower MacBook sales push Apple down to sixth place in laptop marketshare

When it comes to size and potability, the 13 inch MacBook Air and 13 inch MacBook Pro are in DESPERATE need of a refresh.

Looking at the 13 inch sizing:

    MacBook Air:
    • i7-5650U / HD 6000
    • 1440 x 900
    • 2.96 lbs
    MacBook Pro:
    • i7-5557U / HD 6100
    • 2560 x 1600
    • 3.48 lbs
    VAIO Z:
    • i7-6567U / HD 550
    • 2560 x 1440
    • 2.58 lbs

The VAIO Z weighs less than the MBA and is more powerful than the MBP.  What purpose does the MacBook Air have at all? A much slimmer and lighter MBP can simply replace the MBA.

Why did you paste the picture of a MacBook Pro and airbrush VAIO on it?
