People on Reddit are saying that 13.1 enables night mode on their XS and XR. Here's hoping this isn't an accident and Apple actually gives it to us A12ers in the final release. 

I tried taking a picture with the front-facing camera and noticed that it seems to be applying some kind of "beauty filter" like a lot of the Chinese Android phones have started doing. Under the wrong conditions I look like a wax figure of myself. Using third party camera apps doesn't get rid of it. Apple really needs to turn this crap off. 

Wow, I can finally see what's on Apple TV+ without things from other services intermixed. That only took a year. 

If you're using your ATV 4K with HDR/Dolbyvision mode turned on, you really need to adjust the default settings. By default, the ATV will output EVERYTHING in HDR mode which can really screw with the picture on SDR content. Change your output mode to 4K SDR and then turn on the "frame rate and dynamic range matching" option. This way it only turns on HDR when the content supports it.

It sounds like you're hitting "cancel" and re-trying when Face ID fails instead of entering your passcode. This prevents Face ID from learning. I had a lot of failures when I first got my X but the success rate steadily improved over time as it gathered more data. Now I can make crazy expressions and have it pretty far to the side.

Unless things have changed, Apple still has a $300 flat rate repair for hardware faults, not including physical damage. 

Double blind testing has shown that even audio professionals listening on super high-end equipment cannot differentiate lossless from a 256k mp3. But the placebo effect is strong and people want to believe that they have superpowers. 

If Apple really does manage to get rid of the notch, I could see the screen going back to 16:9 again.

I hope that this set of upgrades comes to the Kindle Paper White. USB-C, waterproof, larger screen with dark-mode…all pluses for me. iPad for productivity, Kindle for chill.

The Paperwhite already got those upgrades more than a year ago.

Not sure if "I'm stressed, you got me feeling nauseous" is the best lyric for an advertisement.
