Aside from falling asleep halfway through (not unusual), I had 1 big complaint. Why is it every “epic story” is full of people with British accents? Did the UK conquer the universe and leave everyone else behind? Star Wars, Dune, so many shows, so many English accents. I know, it’s a small quibble, but it bothers me enough to pull me out of immersion. 

Would that be the same Target that has a massive breach of credit card data a few years back? Ummm.... no thanks...

A little while back, I was having some issues with meta data and files in iTunes. I found a neat program called Subler that does wonders for fixing up metadata since Apple has removed so much of the functionality from iTunes.

Google absolutely does care about user privacy. If users are allowed privacy it would severely damage their ability to track them. Google and privacy have an inverse relationship. 

I received an email with a survey a few weeks back. It was all about the 2012 mini I had bought right after the 2014s were out. It asked a lot of questions about what I liked, if I was still using it, what could they do better, that kind of stuff. At the end they asked if I had any other comments and I made clear that expandability was a must in any future purchase. Decent non-mobile processor, upgradable ram and replacable hard drives were all emphasized as must-haves. I hope Apple got a lot of responses like mine, and listens to them.

Should I really piss you off and let you know I paid cash for my M240? I wanted it, I saved for it, I bought it.. wrote a check.

Buying also implies the ability to transfer something to another party. If I buy a car, I can sell it, if I buy a book, I can loan it out. Digital purchases offer none of these features. A good look at existing systems and laws is necessary with so much stuff going to virtual ownership.

Don't believe any of this.

Fantastic! We now have the worlds fastest, thinnest, most beautiful phone and we need a giant ugly block to make it ALMOST as functional as the last generation. Do not want, not buying.
