  • Inside iPhone 8: Apple's A11 Bionic introduces 5 new custom silicon engines

The idea that some have that Android is just some kind of ad platform, apart from being somewhat insulting to Android users, is just plain stupid and ignores the many good reasons people buy Android.

Your reaction to the speed of the A11 this week was plain stupid and somewhat insulting and ignores the many good reasons people buy iPhones. When you buy an new iPhone it will last a long time and you will recieve updates for years. The iPhone 8 will be up speed for years and Android phones will not be as fast for maybe three years.
There is also the fact that the A11 opens the door for exciting things to come. By the way we all know the main reason people buy Android: they are cheap just like Windows computers. If you want't the best quality Android is not an option.
  • After 8 years, IDC admits Apple's iPad is leading the tablet market 'unabated'

The iPad is my favorite Apple device. Huawei Is giving you a free tablet when you purchase their phone. That's a way to count shipments as sales i quess.

I can't understand how people can defend apple in this situation, if they had been transparent about the problem then there wouldn't have been an investigation into this and outrage post factual results.

    There Are None So Blind

As Those Who Will Not See

Posted from your Pixel 2? (you know the phone with all the shutdown and restart problems).

If you search for Android phones with shutdown and restart problems you will see this problem is quite common. But hey, Android phones end up gathering dust after two years of use so lets pretent there is no real problem there.

  • Sonos One feet leaving same white marks on wood furniture that the HomePod can

This is just silly. I'd be pissed with white rings on my tables from a speaker. So now I have to think about what kind of table I place my speaker on? Now pointing out that the SONOS 1 does it also. This is bring back Steve Jobs coming out and showing how holding other phones just right blocks the antenna also as the iPhone 4. Do wee really need to go back to that kind of thing?

The simple fact is, Apple didn't have to use Silicon. If that was rubber on the bottom, it wouldn't matter what table you placed it on, it would be fine. There would be no markings. This is really just another design flaw. Tell it as it is. These excuses are weak. Now we have #ringgate!!

This is a issue that didn't have to exist. To me, it's more poor testing from Apple. I don't know if it's just so afraid of leaks that outside testing is really locked down?!?! Doing everything in the LAB is not REAL WORLD. This looks like it's going to be another Class Action on Apple. It just didn't have to be this way. Stop with the lame excuses on this.

    Quit your crybaby mode please.

Stupid comment but in line with your negativity of the past.

I am European and I make enough money to buy every day an iPhone.  But that does not mean I intend to do that.
It is remarkable that Apple only has a decent market share in the English speaking countries of Europe,  In Germany, the Benelux and Scandinavia, the richest countries of Europe, the market share is much lower.   So money plays a smaller role than the too English centric service offering of Apple.   Siri in non English language is an absolute joke.

Bullshit. Apple is huge in the benelux. All kids want an iPhone. Siri in Dutch is very good.

In addition when I went to Sweden I was in a shopping mall with a huge Apple store. Man it was so crowded it was unbelievebla. In the mall there was also a small Samsung store with almost nobody there.

  • Samsung app leaks new Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Buds earphones, fitness bands

The numbers of the watch face are italic but why is sat italic and steps not? Makes no sense. You don't care? Well I do. Details… Samsung almost never pays attention.

I'm not sure why we need a separate article and video for each and every possible test of the Pixel 3 and the iPhone XS Max -- the earlier, more comprehensive benchmarking videos and articles (and common sense, once you know the specs of each device) have made it abundantly clear that the iPhone XS Max will beat the Pixel 3 at nearly everything (the camera test is one area that's a toss-up IMO and that made for a useful video).

Even though the Pixel 3 is marginally cheaper, the iPhone XS Max is a far better phone -- and for buyers with half a brain in their head, that means its more bang for your buck, and a better overall value at the premium-smartphone level.

You are right. The Pixel 3 is not relevant. It's only loved by the tech press and nobody knows why. They probably get money for praising it. That notch! LOL.
