  • Skydance Animation parts ways with Apple TV+, taking 'Spellbound' with it

I think the real problem with Lucky was the story telling. I enjoyed it fairly well, but the characters didn’t win me over. My 10 year old was bored with it and he loves Pixar and Disney characters. I can’t put my finger on it, but something important is missing.

  • Spotify, others complain to EU about Apple's 'unfair' App Store practices

Wow, I like apple but the fan boy level on these comments is ridiculous. It seems the majority of you guys are pro-market place monopolies. @RadarTheKat: This is not the same as a movie theater charging higher prices for wares as the movie theater doesn't compete against the chip and coke manufacturers. Apple is running a marketplace and completing in said market place. When I as a consumer have no other way to get the Spotify App on my phone but via Apple (marketplace owner) who then places said company at disadvantages to the marketplace owners own offering then you have an anti competitive & anti consumer model. To others.... Spotify is beating Apple in free and paid sub numbers. I'm sure they are probably losing money but then the streaming business hasn't ever made money. Apple only does ok because its really a value add to there real product of hardware so they don't really need to. @Genovelle: while your comment is right in the sign up process of Spotify being able to stop Apple getting 0% of the sign up dollar. The issue is around competitiveness, traditionally under monopoly laws we have not allowed the market place owner (Apple) to complete directly against the a vendor (spotify) This was due to the unfair market position the market place owner resides in. There is no difference here and we should all be concerned about Apple, Google, Amazon etc all pulling this garbage as it is not good for the consumer at all. Consumers are lazy so having extra steps one has to go through disadvantages Apple's competitors compared to the home grown offering. @Jungmark: yes and as we are seeing the negative effects in that space. Consumers are being left with less choice, no other options to purchase different products easier or often worse products. It has also lead to abuses in negotiation of contracts for a fair price of goods from suppliers which hurts employees and other suppliers down stream... Seriously you all need to get out of your apple fan boy bubble as this is a massive issue which goes beyond just Apple.
Companies expect to eat for free. Nothing is free. Period.  This company would not have the scale it does if it were not giving away Music for free. Google has done similar with other people’s IP. Including Music books and you name it. In truth Apple provided streaming music via iTunes Radio long before there was a Spotify. The AppStore is not just a store. Walmart runs adds but there without a tremendous amount of money spent by the manufacturers to MARKET their product, no one would buy it. When was the last time you saw an add for any of the products you think should live free on Apple’s platform. You can not have a monopoly when there are other options. That’s like saying Toyota has a monopoly on audio systems offered in their cars because they don’t support CarPlay or Android Auto.

  • Apple, other tech companies decry North Carolina anti-LGBT law

I'm a biological male who doesn't want biological females in the Men's Restroom when I'm using it.  Don't my feelings count for something, too?

Restrooms are assigned by sex, not by gender.  Gender is open to cultural interpretation, but biological sex is not.  There are serious risks to creating open bathrooms, and hurt feelings isn't one of them.

Before the most tolerant and open minded people on these boards close their minds and start calling me hateful and bigoted, please note that I am all for equality.  But, we must find a better solution than open restrooms.
I think you would be surprised to see what transgender people look like. There are men who were female on the birth certificate. They have beards. Some with rather buff bodies. And you want them in the women's room. There are women who were men on their birth certificate with breasts, and again, rather attractive bodies that you would not imagine were not biologically female. Already the major stadiums in North Carolina have policies that allow transgender people to use the bathrooms that they identify with and this law will do nothing to change that. I don't know you enough to have an opinion about your feelings, but if you are truly interested in this I encourage you to do some research. I think you will be surprised how logical the Charlotte ordinance was and how misguided the state is.
What's to stop a straight freak from claiming to identify with being a woman to gain access to the bathroom. It's easy to police. If someone goes into the women's bathroom and can pee standing up its a man. The women or little girls that are in a compromised situation can call the police. If anyone can just claim to identify as a woman and gain access is a problem.

  • Three weeks after calling for Apple boycott, Donald Trump is tweeting from his iPhone again

Is it too late to move to Florida and vote against this jackass in the primaries?
You'd better hurry up, because Trump will win Florida. :#

As for Trump, I am glad that he wasn't able to stick with using Samsung only. iPhones are just too good to not use.

He is still 100% more honest than the woman called Hillary.

Not really. He lies constantly then dodges questions and the media won't push him on it because he won't interview if there are hard questions. His whole agenda is a made up ploy to get votes. He completely reversed everything he said 4 years ago to draw the fringe voters in.  He makes fun of them during his speeches even to their faces and they still come. "I really love the uneducated" he said as he smirks. Then says "I could shoot someone and not loose votes".  He is playing them all. Keep in mind he is very good friends with the Clintons.

  • Apple CEO Tim Cook, other tech leaders call on North Carolina to repeal anti-LGBT law

Personally, I don't want some hairy guy wearing a dress in the bathroom with my 6-year-old daughter.
North Carolina politicians seem oblivious to the high quality of modern gender reassignment procedures and what the implications are: North Carolina law now requires a person who was biologically female at birth, who now identifies as male, and looks convincingly male, following surgeries and hormone therapies, to use the same bathroom as your daughter. Your daughter won't see a guy wearing a dress in the bathroom, she'll just see a guy in there, dressed as a guy — a guy who lost the choice to use the men's room because he has XX chromosomes. Do you expect that trans people who had "unnoticeable" surgery should just secretly break the law and use the bathroom they look like they belong in, because they probably won't get caught? That's going against the law. Is the law just supposed to apply to trans people who don't look "normal"?
This is a law that should not have been needed. If you have a penis you should not be in the girls bathroom. Period. Women should not have to share a bathroom with a man who "claims" he identifies as a woman. If you want to pass a law protecting transgender then require a new bathroom be built for them. If the suggestion is that they don't look at women in that way, then should gays and lesbians be in the same bathrooms and locker rooms as straight people since they are?  The reason bathrooms are not unisex is to allow a level of security and comfort to undress in a public place to do your business.
