Remember folks, this is just an early prototype of the eventual "Apple iGlasses". This one built for programmers and developers to get their hands on something that works before they roll out the final product, which will look more like a pair of Ray-Ban's and you will wear all day!  Maybe in five or six years.
5 or 6 years til iGlasses? HAH! Take a look at VR headsets from the early 90s--Apple's Vision Pro is somewhat smaller and certainly sleeker, but the form factor hasn't changed all that much in 30 years. All of the tech jammed into the Vision Pro isn't going to be miniaturized to fit into a glasses form factor withing 5, 6, 10 years or more. Also, glasses would give you the equivalent of a heads-up display, which isn't what the Vision Pro is about. VR or mixed VR only works if your field of vision is totally immersed by the VR screens. Too much "reality" and too much light leaks in through glasses to give you a VR experience.
I disagree.  There are 2 things in my opinion that keep this item looking the same way. The screen and the battery.

Look at the progress of the iPhone. From 2097 til now and what apple has done with miniaturization of Face ID and the chip set and other components. If you look at the tear downs, you’ll see the only reason iPhone is “big” is because of the screen and the battery. The chip and the flex board and Face ID and cameras fit into a much more compact package.

  • iPhone 17 Air will have design compromises, but also will debut many engineering changes

You are all missing the obvious thing here.  What is an iPhone fold? But essentially two connected iPhones. Now, we all know Apple. When the iPhone fold comes out and is as thin as an iPad mini. Since it has 2x the space for all the same components and a bigger battery.  The standard iPhones will all look “chunky” so apples solution. Bend over backwards to make the standard iPhone 2 millimeters thinner.  So this way, it looks like the iPhone fold is just two iPhones because all iPhones will be the same thinness.

  • After years of rumors, Apple now has a production prototype iPhone fold

Ok, let's cool it. It's a rumor about a foldable that's been "months away" since 2019. We'll see what happens, but I'm still not holding my breath.
Apple is releasing the iPhone fold this time.
    my reasoning:
Apple went out of there way to create an iPhone Air  just so that the rest of its iPhone line doesn’t look chunky when the iPhone fold shows up, the iPhone fold will always look thinner it’s 2x as big as the standard iPhone allowing for it to be thinner. We all know Apple just cares about aesthetics  and a
product appearances.  Next year Apple can come out with an iPhone air fold  justifying the high price tag, that iPhone air will open the door for.

  • Tim Cook teases Feb. 19 launch of what is probably the new iPhone SE

Crazy theory. lol what if Apple is buying TikTok lol  what better company to be the face to quell privacy issues.  Food for thought. But probably unlikely.

  • Apple expresses interest in autonomous vehicle testing in letter to NHTSA

Honestly, this is all a real waste of time. Apple stands to make a fortune from entering this business. I Suspect the real reason Apple is entering this has nothing to do with the actual car. It's all about AR navigation.  Imagine having your navigation built directly into your windshield.

This is all really a waste of time since most likely none or us work for Apple. Most of this is theoretical and has no basis in reality. Apple will come out with a car. Probably priced above $75k  and will follow the iPhone model. Releasing new models and lowering the price of the last model to make it more affordable.
  • All-new OLED 'iPhone 8,' glass-backed 4.7" model expected to drive Apple sales to 'unprecedented' h

For those of you who don't pay attention and are providing inaccurate time likes for the iPhone release. iPhone 6 came out in 2014. Not 2015.  iPhone 6s came out in 2015 and iPhone 7 came out in 2016. The iPhone 5s came out in 2013.  It's important to check your facts before posting in a public forum. Especially a fact as basic as that.

It may be 2 physical years. But if you count. iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 7, that's three models. Each representing a year.
