11 inch? Fingers? Monkeys, wings, and backsides come to mind. I wouldn't be super surprised by a smaller, more portable (and less 4:3 looking) internet device, however.

bah. This was really intriguing till I read the source was an analyst. Warn me next time with "analyst" or "shill" in the headline so I know not to click through.

It strikes me, that phone handsets are very limited, diverse enough devices that there will still be, very much, barriers towards ubiquitous software on this platform; I'm also interested in seeing if Google has done anything at all in the way of se…

I'm a bit surprised that the media is so quick to jump on Apple, if not terribly surprised at friction from the networks. I've yet to be convinced that any electronic delivery method is making serious progress in the TV/Movie world, legally anyway; …

Same in the US. It's considered "receiving stolen goods." Of all the items to steal, however, it strikes me that the iPhones are probably the dumbest of thefts, as the device is by definition required to connect to the network for use, and could qui…

I'm amazed no one has jumped on the "It's a new iMac and a Tablet!" bandwagon yet. We've got most of the other bandwagons covered, so far, it seems.

My guess goes for the iMac; possibly the pasture for the Mini, possibly (eh?) a MacBook update. Though, I'd love to see a renewed commitment to the Mini, I'm not convinced Apple cares about it anymore. Could be some price changes to reflect Intel…

Ahh yes, I forgot how much of a frigtard he was. Thanks for reminding me M.

Do they even mention the Lawyer's name or affiliation? I didn't see anything. Do not doubt, the lawyers identified this was a potential case, and thereafter trolled around for some schmuck that could be suckered into tagging along as the "lead plain…

I agree, the white on aluminum does look tacky. As does the white plastic bottom. The only saving grace may be that Apple's aluminum finish generally looks lighter than these pictures indicate, so it may look better IRL.

If the phone has text-to-speech capability, I'm not sure I understand why you'd want to convert on the send side rather than the receive side. Seems wasteful, bandwidth wise.

Obviously, it's not a system issue, it's an issue with individuals. But to deny it's common, I won't accept that.

Most like deeply ingrained prejudices against the long bygone days of AppleTalk. "Apple device? must be chatty!" Further proof that IT runs more on folk wisdom than it'd like to admit.

240 ppi seems a bit far fetched for the near future, if only from a hardware availability standpoint.

You know cell service is bad in a country when US service compares favorably with it...

Is prior art relevant to Trademarks? I doubt it… also, it wouldn't stop others from using multi-touch or similar technologies, merely it would stop them being referenced as specifically multi-touch. Ever since the iPhone showed that this kind of …

Probably the biggest difference is it was quite easy to find unlocked RAZRs for sale. That may change eventually, but until Apple makes thing like visual voicemail more friendly to other carriers (5 years?), I don't think it'll really take off in th…

Isn't it tradition at this point for the labels to make wild claims about what concessions they are going to extract from the iTMS shortly before contract re-negotiation, followed abruptly by complete capitulation?
