I’m sure the controversy over the case will dissipate much like the name “iPad” did way back when. If one remembers the jokes that popped up about the name when the original iPad came out this isn’t much different. I do wish Apple put a scaled up Ap…

I think you mean 110V AC instead of 220 or at least that’s what the Kickstarter site says. Very important for a device sold in the US. Another important feature not mentioned is the AC outlets are listed as “Pure Sine Wave”. PSW is very important w…

I agree with July23 that one of the main advantages of HSV and in HomeKit generally is you don’t have to register with yet another site to use the device. It will be interesting to see how the 14.3 update handles HK firmware updates. It will be grea…

It’s going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. A desktop/laptop is not a phone. One of the reasons the Mac never gained much traction was compatibility. People had to share documents with each other and, even though there have been enor…

One of the things I found with HomeKit is it is not always the vendor that has issues. For example, I have Fios at my house and I’ve had a lot of problems with iDevices products going off line. Yet I have another location I help out with that has Co…

The thing I don’t like about Wemo they require an account for updates etc. My credentials are on enough servers, I don’t need any more. I wish a HomeKit requirement from vendors was not to require an account for updating.

I wonder if Nikon with all their imaging experience would be a good target for Apple to purchase. All camera makers are losing market to smartphones and, unlike Canon or Sony, Nikon doesn’t have a lot of non imaging products.

Remember, it’s the lawyers who get the real money here. The $25.00 is just the justification for their millions.

I hope this is true as I have separate IDs for the iTunes Store and iCloud. I tried to get them consolidated years ago but no luck. Fingers crossed.

The irony here is that it is Mr. Sweeney who is trying to force something on consumers. He’s right in that consumers should be able to get apps and services from wherever they want. That option already exists. It’s called Android. Yet consumers have…

I think the captions are reversed for the Black Magic speed test. Says the high speed was the Sony CQD card. Bummer it doesn’t support XQD. I’ve been looking for a better reader than the Lexar card dongle I have.
