Expandability in iMacs/iBooks? Have not we gone over this already? PC cards in the iBook makes no sense. It already comes with 10/100 ethernet and a fax/net modem. The iMac is a consumer good. Most of the buyers of the iMac won't care if the i…

I think he means not that they recently added the interface, but the new Jaguar interface kinda matches the Apple.com site.

I think Mac.com sounds better than .mac. Mac.com Mail, Mac.com Homepage, Mac.com iDisk, Mac.com iCards, Mac.com iChat etc.

Holy **** ! I thought you meant a Pismo or Ti PowerBook 145? Are they even colour? They don't have a floppy I don't think That just proves that this 'floppy to no floppy' was a gradual migration.

I prefer the DVD mini boxes. They are so slick. You can fit documentation (although not a manual, what software comes with a manual on paper nowadays anyway) Next is the half size jewel case, the ones some CD-Rs use.

I think it's actually in the HIToolbox (probably this) or Extras.rsrc. Because a lot of themes change the icon.

Well this is what I think. The PowerMac rebates go onto the end of January, so in February (when the mid range iMac ships) Apple could hold a 'special' event. Apple could simply have too much PowerMac stock release a new model now, they have been…

In what way is that a lie? It's just marketing hype. Jeez, all this complaining about Apple setting expectations too high is getting old. Lets all focus on playing with the new iMacs (going to keep me busy for at least 4 or 5 months!).

For computer labs, I imagine the LCD iMac will be terrible. Educational institutions don't need all this digital hub crap (maybe in classrooms), and the expensive LCD monitor is pointless.

Ever since I killed AO, I went back into OS 9. And I'm like, where have you been IE 5 for OS 9 all my life? So, I'm currently - hopefully not long, an OS 9/IE 5.0 user. But damn, OS 9 is just so much more consistent . Peace

[quote]Originally posted by iDude: I sure hope it comes back. I loved Appleinsider. The only rumor site that was ever right. Not the humor on MOSR. Umm, look at AI's archives. They weren't right all the time. Looking back at some, you'll just…

The best thing to do to harm Microsoft is not to even touch the XBOXs. They have tremendous resources invested in the consoles (something like 5 - 10 billion), and if the BOXs fail, well, MS's investors aren't going to be happy. There are a few S…
